Legacy ended their IEM Atlanta 2026 run on a high note after defeating BetBoom 2-0 in the tournament’s third-place decider, securing another strong international finish for the Brazilian side.

The series was played as a best-of-three and featured Mirage and Nuke, where Legacy looked consistently in control against a BetBoom lineup that had entered the match following a semifinal defeat to NAVI.

On Mirage, Legacy quickly established momentum with aggressive openings and strong mid-round calling, preventing BetBoom from finding stability on either side of the map. The Brazilians repeatedly punished isolated plays and converted key advantages to take the opener convincingly. Bruno “latto” Rebelatto was among the standout performers, continuing the strong individual form he showed throughout the event.

The victory capped off a notable campaign for Legacy in Atlanta. Earlier in the tournament, the team secured a playoff berth with a 2-0 victory over Astralis in the Group B upper bracket, guaranteeing themselves a place in the arena stage and setting up a meeting with NAVI.

Although Legacy eventually fell short of reaching the grand final, the Brazilian side consistently exceeded expectations during the event. Their aggressive style and improved structure allowed them to challenge several higher-ranked opponents and reinforce their growing reputation on the international stage.

For BetBoom, the result marked a disappointing finish after an otherwise respectable tournament run. The team had reached the semifinals before being eliminated by NAVI in a 0-2 series on Ancient and Nuke.

BetBoom’s current roster — featuring Boombl4, zorte, S1ren, d1Ledez, and Magnojez — has shown flashes of promise in recent months, but the loss highlighted continuing issues with consistency against elite opposition.

Legacy’s strong placement in Atlanta adds another important result to a period of steady improvement for the Brazilian squad.
