Mission

CS2NEWS delivers timely, accurate, and independent coverage of Counter-Strike 2: news, transfers, patches, events, teams, and players.

Independence & ethics

• Editorial decisions are independent from commercial interests.
• We disclose sponsorships and affiliations where relevant.
• Staff must disclose conflicts of interest (e.g., employment by teams, betting relationships). Conflicted writers do not cover affected subjects.

Sourcing & attribution

• We prefer primary sources: official statements, match records, on-the-record interviews.
• We credit other outlets and link to originals when building upon their reporting.
• Anonymous sources are used sparingly and require corroboration.

Verification & fact-checking

• Facts (names, dates, stats, quotes) are verified before publication.
• Headlines reflect the story without clickbait. Rumor pieces are labeled “Rumor”.

Corrections & updates

Factual errors are corrected promptly and transparently (see Corrections Policy). Substantive updates are timestamped.

Diversity & fairness

We seek diverse voices across regions, tiers, and roles. Subjects have fair opportunity to comment on significant allegations before publication when feasible.

AI-assisted tools

We may use AI tools for research/drafting; final copy is human-edited and accountable. We do not publish fabricated quotes or images.

Advertising & sponsored content

Ads do not influence coverage. Sponsored content is labeled and separated from editorial.
