Corrections Policy

Last updated: September 19, 2025

Our standard

Accuracy is paramount. When we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and clearly.

Types of changes

  • Correction: A factual error is fixed; we add a Correction note with what changed and when.
  • Clarification: Ambiguous language is clarified; we add a Clarification note.
  • Update: New material substantially advances the story; we add an Update note with timestamp.
  • Retraction: In rare cases of fundamentally flawed reporting, we remove the article and publish a Retraction notice.

Workflow

  1. Report received ([email protected]) → ticket created.
  2. Reviewer not involved in the original piece is assigned.
  3. Verification against sources/documents/interviews.
  4. Note added with timestamp and editor initials.
  5. Social posts corrected where feasible.

How to request a correction

Email [email protected] with the article URL, the exact passage, and supporting evidence. We aim to respond within 48 hours.
