Legacy Reach Second Consecutive Final at PGL Masters Bucharest
The Brazilian squad Legacy has secured a place in the grand final of the PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over SAW. The win marks Legacy’s second straight appearance in a final at this tournament.
The series began unfavourably for Legacy, as SAW dominated on Legacy’s map pick and jumped to a 10-0 start, putting Legacy under immediate pressure. Legacy clawed back, however, taking the final two rounds on the attack and eventually winning the map by five rounds to level the series.
On the decider map, Legacy found themselves fighting from behind yet again — reportedly against match point on Nuke — before mounting a comeback to claim the victory. Meanwhile, SAW’s nine-map winning streak on Nuke at this event was snapped.
Legacy’s journey to this stage has been marked by resilience. They earlier secured a playoff berth by defeating FlyQuest 2-0 in the Swiss Stage decider (13-7 Overpass, 13-11 Dust2).
The broader context: PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 is a top-tier (Tier 1) offline LAN event for Counter‑Strike 2, run by PGL Esports, and features 16 teams competing for a US $625,000 prize pool.
With the final ahead, Legacy will aim to convert this appearance into a title win and further cement their rise on the global CS2 stage.
