Natus Vincere booked their place in the grand final of the IEM Atlanta 2026 after a convincing 2-0 victory over BetBoom Team in the semi-finals. NAVI secured the series with wins on Ancient (13-8) and Nuke (13-6), continuing their impressive lower-bracket momentum following their statement playoff victory against Team Vitality earlier in the tournament.

The win sends NAVI into their fourth grand final of 2026 and gives the international roster an opportunity to claim their second trophy of the year. Awaiting them in the championship match is GamerLegion, while BetBoom will face Legacy in the third-place decider.

Despite the final scoreline, the opening map initially looked promising for BetBoom. The Russian side came out aggressively on Ancient and built an early 6-2 lead on NAVI’s own map pick. However, NAVI stabilized thanks to several key clutch rounds from Aleksi Virolainen and rising youngster Drin Shaqiri, allowing the team to close the first half with a manageable 5-7 deficit.

The turning point came immediately after the side switch. BetBoom secured the second pistol round and appeared ready to regain control, but NAVI answered with a successful force-buy that completely shifted the momentum. From there, Aleksib’s squad dominated the defensive half, winning eight consecutive rounds while consistently shutting down BetBoom’s openings. makazze delivered one of his strongest maps of the tournament with a massive 2.23 CT-side rating, while Aleksib also posted outstanding numbers as NAVI stormed to a 13-8 finish.

Nuke proved far less competitive. NAVI immediately established control on the CT side and raced to an 8-4 halftime advantage through coordinated defensive setups and strong individual performances from Valeriy Vakhovskiy and Mihai Ivan. BetBoom briefly attempted to recover after the switch, but NAVI shut the door with another crucial force-buy conversion early in the second half before rapidly closing the map 13-6.

makazze once again emerged as one of NAVI’s standout players and received the majority of fan votes for Player of the Match after another high-impact series. His continued growth has become one of the biggest storylines of NAVI’s Atlanta campaign, especially following the organization’s dramatic quarter-final victory over Vitality.

That earlier playoff series against Vitality was widely viewed as NAVI’s breakthrough moment at the event. The Ukrainian organization ended Vitality’s remarkable streak of 21 consecutive top-four finishes by defeating the French powerhouse 2-1 in the quarter-finals, including a dominant 13-3 performance on Inferno.

BetBoom, meanwhile, entered the semi-final after an impressive tournament run of their own. The squad led by Kirill Mikhailov had already defeated teams such as B8, Vitality, and paiN Gaming during the event, establishing themselves as one of the surprise contenders in Atlanta. However, NAVI’s structure, confidence, and momentum ultimately proved too much to handle in the semi-final.

Following the victory, Aleksib expressed confidence in NAVI’s current level and mentality heading into the title match, stating that the team fully understands how strong it is playing right now. With momentum building and several players finding top form simultaneously, NAVI now head into the grand final against GamerLegion as one of the strongest teams remaining in Atlanta.
