The Huns Continue Rebuild as xerolte Leaves the Roster

Mongolian Counter-Strike team The Huns have officially parted ways with Munkhtogtokh “xerolte” Enkhbat, marking the organization’s second roster change in just a few days. The move follows the departure of Tengis “sk0R” Batjargal and signals the beginning of a significant restructuring process for one of Asia’s most recognizable CS2 squads.

xerolte's exit brings an end to his latest spell with The Huns, a team he represented across two separate stints since 2024. During that time, the 23-year-old helped the Mongolian side establish itself as a consistent force within the Asian region, regularly qualifying for international tournaments and strengthening the team's position in regional rankings.

While The Huns enjoyed considerable success at home, their results on the international stage failed to match expectations. The squad qualified for several high-profile events, including CAC 2025, the StarLadder Budapest Major and PGL Astana 2026, but struggled to compete against elite opposition. Across those tournaments, The Huns managed only two victories in total, highlighting the gap between their regional dominance and performances against top-tier teams.

Individual statistics reflected those difficulties. Although xerolte maintained respectable numbers in regional competition, his impact declined when facing stronger opposition. According to HLTV data, he recorded a 0.90 rating against top-30 teams, significantly below his overall average rating. His performances mirrored the struggles experienced by the rest of the roster whenever the team stepped outside the Asian circuit.

Despite those challenges, xerolte played an important role in some of the organization's most successful periods. Reports from the Asian scene note that he contributed to multiple regional tournament victories throughout 2025, including strong showings in MESA Pro Series events and the ESN Fall Showdown. Those results helped cement The Huns as one of Mongolia's leading Counter-Strike organizations and a regular representative of the region at international qualifiers.

The timing of the move is particularly notable. Only one day before announcing xerolte's departure, The Huns confirmed that star AWPer sk0R would also be leaving the roster. sk0R had spent roughly a year with the organization during his second stint and was statistically one of the team's stronger players. Over the previous 12 months he posted a 1.13 rating overall, although that figure dropped to 0.93 against top-30 opponents. His departure, combined with xerolte's exit, removes two experienced members from the lineup and leaves major gaps to fill before the next competitive cycle.

The roster changes come after a disappointing first half of 2026. Although The Huns continued to perform well in regional qualifiers, they failed to convert those opportunities into deep runs at major international events. The team also missed out on qualification for IEM Cologne 2026 through the Asian Valve Regional Standings race, a setback that likely influenced management's decision to begin rebuilding ahead of the next season.

For much of the last two years, The Huns represented one of the most ambitious projects in Mongolian Counter-Strike. Founded in 2023, the organization quickly rose through the regional ranks and became a regular challenger to other leading Asian teams. Their qualification for the StarLadder Budapest Major in 2025 was viewed as a milestone achievement, marking the organization's first appearance at a Counter-Strike Major. However, the team exited the event with a 1-3 record, and subsequent international tournaments produced similarly modest results.

As things stand, only three players remain on the active roster: Yesuntumur “nin9” Gantulga, Baatarkhuu “Bart4k” Batbold and Unudelger “controlez” Baasanjargal, while coach Badral “Carnage” Purevkhuu continues to oversee the project. With two vacant spots now available, speculation has already begun regarding potential additions, although the organization has not yet announced any replacements.

The departures of both xerolte and sk0R represent the most significant roster shake-up The Huns have undergone in recent memory. Whether these moves can help the organization close the gap between regional success and international competitiveness remains to be seen. What is clear, however, is that The Huns are entering a new chapter. After several years of steady growth, the Mongolian squad appears determined to reshape its lineup in pursuit of stronger results against the world's best teams.
