Team Spirit became the first squad to clinch a spot in the ESL Pro League Season 22 playoffs, following a dominant 2–0 victory over G2 in their round-three Swiss match.

In what was Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich’s debut series for Spirit, he managed a 1.65 rating across the two maps, showing strong synergy with Danil “donk” Kryshkovets to dismantle G2’s resistance.

While tN1R’s performance was impressive, he himself offered a tempered perspective on his role:

“I’m not sure I should play like a star player,” he said, acknowledging the depth of talent around him.

Still, the contribution was significant. On Mirage, tN1R went 9–1 to open the map and recorded a +8.53 % round swing, outshining even veterans magixx and zont1x from whom he takes over.

Donk was hardly silent either — he logged a high 108.2 ADR and collected 14 kills in 10 rounds on CT side of Mirage.

Spirit’s newer addition is expected, over time, to settle into the team’s “third star” role behind donk and Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov

After the match, Spirit’s coach Ivan “zweih” Gogin expressed confidence in the team environment:

“Everything’s good,” he told the stream. “tN1R is a fun guy, always laughing, giving us a lot. And so far at least, it’s showing on the server.”

Broader context & additional developments

Roster move: Spirit formally announced the signing of tN1R from HEROIC, replacing zont1x ahead of EPL 22.

Earlier, sources had tipped the move even before the Esports World Cup, noting that tN1R was expected to slot into Spirit’s active roster following EWC.

Just prior to his Spirit debut, tN1R reflected on his transition:

“Entering the European market was a very good step for me,” he said in a past interview.

  • In his last tournament representing HEROIC, tN1R faced Spirit and spoke to HLTV afterward, though he declined to comment on rumored transfers.

  • Notably, earlier in the year, HEROIC upset Spirit in the Esports World Cup, handing them one of their first early eliminations in 2025 — a somewhat ironic prelude to tN1R’s eventual move.

  • On the tournament front, Falcons also secured their playoff berth later the same day by defeating MOUZ in a 3-map series. Nikola “NiKo” Kovač admitted post-match that it had been a tough match for them.
