PARIVISION Coach Dastan Admits CS2 Team Is in Decline Ahead of IEM Cologne 2026
PARIVISION head coach Dastan “dastan” Akbayev has admitted that the team is going through a serious decline after another disappointing CS2 tournament result, raising concerns ahead of the upcoming IEM Cologne 2026 Major.
Speaking after PARIVISION’s elimination from PGL Astana 2026, dastan said the roster has now been struggling for five tournaments in a row and that he is unsure how to fix the situation.
“For five tournaments in a row, we have been going down. I don’t know what to do. Maybe I will try a different approach,” dastan said in an interview with Cybersport.ru.
PARIVISION Continue Poor CS2 Results at PGL Astana 2026
PARIVISION finished 12th-14th at PGL Astana 2026 after losses to 9z Team, Aurora Gaming and G2 Esports. The team’s final series against G2 ended in a 1-2 defeat:
- Mirage — 5:13
- Dust2 — 13:11
- Ancient — 12:16
The result extended PARIVISION’s inconsistent form despite the roster entering 2026 as one of the fastest-rising teams in Counter-Strike 2.
According to dastan, the biggest issue is declining individual form. The coach revealed that three PARIVISION players currently hold ratings below 1.00, something he considers unacceptable for a team competing at tier-one CS2 events.
Dastan Criticizes Young PARIVISION Players
In recent interviews, dastan has also publicly criticized several younger PARIVISION players for a lack of development and repeated mistakes.
The coach specifically mentioned:
- Emil “nota” Moskvitin
- BELCHONOKK
- xiELO
Dastan explained that he currently has more concerns regarding nota and BELCHONOKK because xiELO and zweih joined the roster more recently.
He also warned that continued poor performances could eventually lead to roster changes if players fail to improve before the next major tournament cycle.
Jame Says PARIVISION Are Still Building Their Identity
PARIVISION captain Dzhami “Jame” Ali offered a more balanced perspective on the team’s struggles.
According to Jame, the current lineup is still in its first season together and expectations became too high after the team’s early success in CS2.
“This is only the first season for our team,” Jame said. “People’s expectations changed because of our results.”
Jame added that the team expected difficult periods eventually and believes PARIVISION are still searching for their long-term identity and playstyle.
From BLAST Bounty Champions to CS2 Slump
PARIVISION looked like one of the biggest breakout teams of 2026 earlier this season after winning BLAST Bounty Winter 2026 in dominant fashion.
The squad defeated Team Falcons 3-0 in the grand final and lost only one map during the entire tournament run. Following the victory, nota praised the structure created by Jame and dastan.
Even Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev previously described PARIVISION as a “hard-working team,” saying that their work ethic was paying off.
However, the team’s momentum has disappeared over the last several months as results steadily declined across multiple international CS2 tournaments.
PARIVISION Face Pressure Before IEM Cologne 2026
PARIVISION are expected to begin their IEM Cologne 2026 campaign from Stage 3, but their recent performances have raised doubts about whether the CIS squad can compete against the world’s elite teams.
With one of the biggest Counter-Strike 2 events of the year approaching, the pressure is now on dastan, Jame and the rest of the PARIVISION roster to stop the decline before the Major begins.
