NIP to mark 25th anniversary with Rainbet-presented CS2 showmatch featuring f0rest & GeT_RiGhT

Ninjas in Pyjamas have announced a 25th-anniversary Counter-Strike showmatch that will pit an NIP Legends lineup against players from the organisation’s current CS2 and Impact rosters on Wednesday, November 5. The exhibition is presented in partnership with jersey sponsor Rainbet and is scheduled to start at 5pm BST. 

Who’s playing

The Legends side will be headlined by the iconic duo Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg and Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund, with additional former NIP stars to be revealed in the run-up to the match. Opposing them on the current-era team are first-team representatives Rasmus “sjuush” Beck, Artem “r1nkle” Moroz, and Kacper “xKacpersky” Gabara, joined by Ksenia “vilga” Klyuenkova and Mia “aiM” Cooper from NIP Impact. 

Format and how to watch

The anniversary fixture will be a best-of-three (BO3). If one side wins 2-0, NIP plans a bonus showmatch mixing legends and current players for a third map. The event will be streamed live on NIP’s YouTube and Twitch channels as well as the personal Twitch channels of f0rest and GeT_RiGhT. A limited-capacity watch party is also set for Red Bull Gaming Sphere, Stockholm, with details and ticketing to be shared on NIP’s social media. 

Why it matters

The showmatch celebrates a quarter-century of NIP’s Counter-Strike history—from the early 1.6 days and the organisation’s dominant years in the first CS:GO era, to its present-day CS2 and Impact projects. In announcing the event, NIP highlighted the reunion of club greats with today’s roster as a nod to the organisation’s legacy and its current direction.
