Falcons booked their place in the BLAST Open Porto 2026 playoffs with a 2-1 victory over Legacy, recovering from a setback on Ancient to close the Group B upper-bracket semifinal in convincing fashion.

The series ended 13-6 on Mirage, 10-13 on Ancient and 13-6 on Dust2, with Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov leading Falcons statistically. The AWPer finished with 56 kills, 29 deaths and a 1.56 HLTV Rating 3.0 across the three maps. Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin and Nikola “NiKo” Kovač provided the other major sources of firepower.

What Happened?

Falcons entered the series with something to prove.

Their opening BLAST Open Porto match against Lynn Vision had required three maps, while Legacy arrived after a comfortable 2-0 win over FUT. More importantly, Legacy had already shown that they could cause serious problems for Finn “karrigan” Andersen's team, beating Falcons at both the CS Asia Championships grand final and the Esports World Cup.

Falcons nevertheless controlled much of Mirage after building an 8-4 halftime advantage. Legacy produced isolated high-impact rounds, including an impressive sequence from Bruno “latto” Rebelatto, but were unable to establish enough economic stability to stop Falcons from pulling away.

Ancient was considerably closer. Falcons again held the halftime advantage at 7-5, but Legacy transformed the map after the side switch. The Brazilians took eight of the next 11 rounds to win 13-10 and force Dust2.

For a moment, the decider threatened to go the same way.

Legacy established a 4-1 advantage and eventually reached halftime tied 6-6. Falcons then completely shut the map down. They won seven consecutive rounds after the break, with Legacy failing to add another round to their total.

m0NESY supplied the defining highlight late in the map with a four-kill round that included a 1v3 clutch, while kyousuke completed an enormous individual recovery after struggling on Ancient.

The 13-6 Dust2 victory sent Falcons through to the playoffs and ended Legacy's recent run of success in the matchup.

kyousuke was the standout performer on the map. The young rifler recorded 22 kills, 133 ADR and a 1.96 rating, giving Falcons the consistent multi-kill output needed to break open what had initially been a competitive map.

Ancient — Legacy win 13-10

Falcons' own pick looked favorable at halftime, with karrigan's team holding a 7-5 lead.

Legacy refused to let the series end in two.

The Brazilian side won eight of 11 rounds in the second half to turn the map around and take Ancient 13-10. latto led Legacy with 27 kills and a 1.38 rating on the map, while dumau and n1ssim also finished positively.

m0NESY continued to put up numbers for Falcons, but the team's advantage disappeared as Legacy found the defensive rounds required to force a decider.

Dust2 — Falcons win 13-6

Dust2 was the most important tactical and mental test of the series.

Legacy raced to a 4-1 advantage before Falcons stabilized, and the first half eventually ended 6-6. From there, the map became entirely one-sided.

kyousuke's series was unusually volatile.

He was excellent on Mirage, struggled badly on Ancient, and then responded with a 2.03 rating on Dust2. His 50-44 overall scoreline and 94.3 ADR underline how much damage he produced despite the difficult second map.

NiKo — Falcons

NiKo provided the third layer of reliable firepower behind m0NESY and kyousuke.

He finished 49-36 with a 1.22 series rating and recorded an 82% KAST, giving Falcons another dependable presence as the match moved into its deciding stages.

latto — Legacy

latto finished as Legacy's highest-rated player at 1.06 and was particularly influential during their Ancient victory.
