Falcons Beat FURIA to Reach BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026 Playoffs

Team Falcons secured a hard-fought playoff berth at BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026 after edging out FURIA in a tense three-map series, winning 2–1 in the lower bracket decider. The victory sends the European side into the quarter-finals, while the Brazilian squad exits the tournament just short of the playoffs. 

The series unfolded as a dramatic back-and-forth battle, with Falcons taking Mirage 13–11, dropping Dust2 13–16, and ultimately closing the match on Nuke with a 13–10 win. 

Falcons’ path to victory was defined by resilience under pressure. On Mirage, they managed to recover from a late deficit, overturning a 7–11 situation to steal the map. The decider on Nuke followed a similar storyline, as Falcons found themselves trailing 3–9 before mounting a remarkable comeback on the CT side to secure the series. 

FURIA, on the other hand, will look back at missed opportunities—particularly on Nuke, where they were unable to capitalize on their commanding lead. The Brazilian team repeatedly attempted to break through the A site but failed to adapt their approach, allowing Falcons to stabilize and take control of the game in the closing stages. 

Individually, Falcons’ firepower once again proved decisive. Players such as Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov delivered strong performances across the series, contributing heavily to the team’s comeback efforts and overall consistency.
