Lotan 'Spinx' Giladi: “Every Trophy Matters in the Vitality Era” as MOUZ Eye Rare Title Opportunity at CAC 2026
MOUZ advanced to the semi-finals of CS Asia Championships 2026 after surviving an exhausting double best-of-three day, defeating paiN Gaming and B8 to stay alive in the tournament. Following the victories, Lotan 'Spinx' Giladi reflected on the team’s growing momentum and explained why trophies have become increasingly difficult to secure during the ongoing dominance of Vitality.
Spinx admitted that the packed schedule tested MOUZ physically and mentally, especially because top-tier teams are no longer accustomed to playing multiple long series in a single day. Despite the difficult format, he praised the squad’s resilience and ability to maintain focus across several hours of play. He also highlighted newcomer xelex’s experience from lower-tier Counter-Strike, joking that such marathon match days are more common outside elite competition.
The road to the playoffs was far from smooth for MOUZ. The European side opened their campaign with a disappointing best-of-one defeat against TYLOO before recovering against NRG and gradually improving throughout the event. According to Spinx, the team needed time to regain its energy, communication, and overall structure after an inconsistent start to the tournament.
Their improvement arrives at a crucial moment in the season. While MOUZ reached nine Big Event semi-finals throughout 2025, they have lifted very few trophies during a period heavily controlled by Vitality. The French organization has continued its dominance into 2026, winning tournaments including IEM Kraków 2026, PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026, BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026, and IEM Rio 2026 while maintaining their position as the world’s top-ranked team.
That dominance is exactly why Spinx believes every available championship now carries extra significance for teams outside Vitality. He explained that the current competitive landscape leaves very few opportunities for elite teams to actually win events, making smaller or less stacked tournaments increasingly important for organizations searching for silverware.
MOUZ are now preparing for a high-stakes semi-final clash against Team Falcons, a roster that recently reached the grand final of PGL Astana 2026 and has consistently challenged the world’s best teams in recent months. Spinx emphasized that MOUZ will approach Falcons the same way they would approach any top opponent, including Vitality, focusing on preparation, individual impact, and disciplined teamplay.
Another major topic surrounding MOUZ is the future of Justinas 'jL' Lekavičius, whose temporary stint with the team is expected to end after the upcoming Shanghai Major cycle. Spinx praised the Lithuanian star for both his personality and in-game contributions, specifically mentioning his important clutch against B8 on Ancient. However, he also clarified that any long-term roster decision will ultimately involve the entire team and organization rather than individual players.
The comments also reflect the broader state of Counter-Strike in 2026. Vitality’s sustained success — powered by stars such as Mathieu 'ZywOo' Herbaut, Robin 'ropz' Kool, and Dan 'apEX' Madesclaire — has created an era many players now openly compare to the legendary Astralis dynasty. Members of Vitality themselves have publicly stated that their goal is to establish an undisputed era at the top of Counter-Strike history.
