Legacy Reach CS Asia Championships 2026 Playoffs After Beating TYLOO

Legacy continued their impressive run at the CS Asia Championships 2026 (CAC 2026) after defeating TYLOO 2-0 in the upper-bracket match in Shanghai. The Brazilian squad secured victories on Overpass and Ancient to officially advance to the CAC playoffs and keep their championship defense alive.

The win follows Legacy’s earlier opening victory over NRG and confirms the team as one of the strongest contenders at the $1 million Counter-Strike 2 event.

According to HLTV, Legacy defeated TYLOO 19-16 on Overpass before closing the series 16-12 on Ancient. Both maps went down to the wire, but the Brazilians showed superior composure in late-round situations.

latto clutch helps Legacy survive on Overpass

The first map of the series became an instant thriller. Legacy started strongly and built an early advantage, but TYLOO repeatedly clawed their way back into the game and forced overtime.

With the pressure mounting, Bruno “latto” Rebelatto delivered one of the key moments of the match by winning a crucial 1v2 clutch during overtime. The play helped Legacy close out Overpass 19-16 and take control of the series.

TYLOO’s aggressive style caused problems throughout the match, especially after their earlier upset victory against MOUZ at the tournament. The Chinese side once again proved they can compete with elite international teams despite falling short in overtime.

arT continues strong start with Legacy

Legacy’s recent performances have highlighted the growing influence of Andrei “arT” Piovezan since joining the roster. The veteran in-game leader has already helped stabilize the Brazilian lineup and improve its structure in high-pressure matches.

Earlier this year, teammate Guilherme “saadzin” Pacheco praised arT’s leadership during an interview with HLTV:

“arT is very good not only in the server but also out of game.”

saadzin also explained that arT’s experience has improved team confidence and helped players perform more consistently during difficult moments.

Legacy remain one of the favorites to win CAC 2026

The defending champions now move into the playoff stage at the Shanghai Yuanshen Gymnasium — the same venue where they won the previous CS Asia Championships title.

Legacy are not the only team making headlines at the event. Falcons also secured a playoff berth after narrow victories over BC.Game and M80, while B8 advanced after beating Ninjas in Pyjamas and The MongolZ.

Following B8’s qualification, Andrii “npl” Kukharskyi confidently stated:

“I feel that my team can win this tournament, and we will try to do it.”

CS Asia Championships 2026 format and prize pool

CS Asia Championships 2026 features some of the top Counter-Strike 2 teams in the world competing for a $1 million prize pool. The tournament uses a double-elimination group stage, with three teams from each group advancing to the playoffs.

Group winners automatically qualify for the semi-finals, making every upper-bracket victory especially important.
