Dastan on zweih’s adaptation in PARIVISION: “Soft communication for the first year”
PARIVISION head coach Dastan “dastan” Akbayev has revealed how the team plans to integrate Ivan “zweih” Gogin into its CS2 roster, emphasizing patience, long-term development, and a deliberately soft communication style during the player’s first months in the lineup.
According to Dastan, zweih will not be placed under maximum pressure immediately. Instead, the coaching staff aims to help the young rifler unlock his full potential before demanding consistent top-tier results.
“The first half-year or even a year will be soft”
Speaking in a PARIVISION video, Dastan explained that the initial adaptation phase could last six months to a full year.
“For the first half-year or even a year, the communication will be soft. I want zweih to fully realize himself,”
said Dastan.
The coach added that he works closely with zweih on a daily basis, reviewing POV demos together every evening, discussing mistakes, decision-making, and in-game details in a relaxed atmosphere.
This approach is designed to reduce stress for a young player transitioning into a higher competitive level in Counter-Strike 2, where expectations and media pressure are significantly higher.
Why PARIVISION believe in zweih
Dastan has repeatedly highlighted that zweih is not a random signing but a high-upside investment:
He described zweih as “very skilled, young, and energetic”
He stressed that zweih fits the team’s roles well, replacing AW without forcing major structural changes
He noted zweih’s strong foundation from Team Spirit Academy and Nemiga Gaming
The coach also underlined zweih’s performance during Nemiga’s Major run, calling it impressive for a player aged 17–18, especially under Major-level pressure.
Early results already back up the trust
Despite the long-term focus, zweih has already delivered strong short-term results with PARIVISION:
BLAST Bounty Winter 2026 qualifiers:
PARIVISION defeated ENCE and Astralis
zweih recorded an average rating of 1.61 during the qualifier matches
The team successfully advanced to the main stage / LAN phase of the tournament
These performances suggest that even with a “soft” integration period, zweih is already having a measurable impact.
zweih on his new role in PARIVISION
The player himself has spoken openly about the transition. According to zweih, playing in PARIVISION feels simpler and clearer compared to his previous experience:
He is responsible for one clearly defined role
Decision-making is more straightforward
The team atmosphere is “completely different” and more enjoyable
This clarity appears to be one of the key factors behind his confident early performances.
Background: zweih’s career mindset
Earlier interviews also help explain why coaches rate zweih so highly. In a 2025 HLTV interview, the player described how proactively he manages his career, including directly messaging Nemiga’s management when he saw a roster opening.
He also emphasized a mentality that resonates with coaches:
Playing at a Major doesn’t change my mindset. I just play CS.
This psychological stability is one of the reasons PARIVISION are willing to give zweih time rather than rushing results.
What this means for PARIVISION in CS2
Dastan’s statements make PARIVISION’s strategy clear:
Short-term: allow mistakes, reduce pressure, build confidence
Mid-term: stabilize zweih as a core rifler
Long-term: develop him into a consistent Tier-1-level player
With early tournament success already in place, PARIVISION’s patient approach to zweih could become a textbook example of talent development in modern CS2 esports.
