PARIVISION Eliminate GamerLegion in 2-0 Upset at Budapest Major 2025
PARIVISION delivered one of the biggest surprises of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, knocking out world #17 GamerLegion with a clean 2-0 victory in the 1-2 elimination match. The CIS squad claimed 16–14 on Overpass and 16–12 on Ancient, securing a spot in the 2-2 decider while sending GamerLegion home as the first top-20 team eliminated from the Major.
GamerLegion started strong on Overpass with a 9–3 CT lead, but PARIVISION — powered by xiELO, nota and AW — flipped the second half and closed in overtime. Ancient followed a similar script: GL jumped ahead early, only for Jame’s structured mid-round calling to turn the game around. Despite a heroic 1v3 clutch from hypex, GamerLegion failed to close, and PARIVISION completed the sweep.
After the match, Jame highlighted his team’s mentality:
“I’m a crazy dude with four young players,” he told HLTV, crediting composure for the comeback wins.
GamerLegion exit the Major with a 1–3 record, their only win coming against Rare Atom after early losses to Fluxo and RED Canids. REZ previously admitted the team “needed” that victory for their confidence, while newcomer hypex said he felt pressure to prove himself after joining mid-season.
PARIVISION now move on to a crucial 2-2 match versus Legacy, fighting for a place in Stage 2 of the Budapest Major. For GamerLegion, the defeat marks a disappointing end to a turbulent season and raises questions about the roster’s future form heading into the next competitive cycle.
