dastan: “I try to play with HObbit to bring one more trophy for him”

PARIVISION’s decision to bring HObbit back has given dastan a personal objective alongside the team’s competitive ambitions: another trophy for the veteran. The coach discussed the change after a 2–1 victory over Legacy in the opening Swiss round of ESL Pro League Season 24, a result that immediately rewarded the new lineup.
“I try to play with HObbit to bring one more trophy for him,” dastan said.
HObbit’s first series back offered encouragement. He finished with a 1.17 rating, while PARIVISION recovered from a heavy opening-map defeat and survived overtime on Ancient. The performance mattered for a team whose recent results had provided little evidence of sustained momentum.
Experience becomes the immediate answer
dastan identified a lack of chemistry with slaxejezzz as the reason for changing direction. HObbit offers experience that reduces the amount of instruction required: “we don’t need to teach him,” the coach explained.
That puts the emphasis on delivery. For a roster making another adjustment, a player who already understands the demands of elite competition can shorten the transition, although familiarity alone cannot guarantee results.
HObbit’s return also reunites the team with a player who helped PARIVISION reach the XSE Pro League Guangzhou final in July. His history extends much further: he won the PGL Major Krakow 2017 with Gambit, reached the Stockholm Major semifinals in 2021 and won IEM Dallas 2022 with Cloud9.
At 32, he brings experience across different generations of Counter-Strike. His sixth-place finish in the 2021 individual world ranking shows how high his peak was. The task now is to contribute consistently within this particular lineup.
HObbit delivers more than a reassuring debut
Against Legacy, HObbit recorded 43 kills and 34 deaths, 85.5 ADR and 80.3% KAST. His strongest map was Inferno, where he produced 17–7, 128.0 ADR and a 1.59 rating in a 13–2 victory.
PARIVISION player statistics against Legacy — ESL Pro League Season 24
| Player | Kills | Deaths | +/− | ADR | KAST | Rating 3.0 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jame | 52 | 27 | +25 | 77.9 | 78.7% | 1.37 |
| FL1T | 50 | 40 | +10 | 89.6 | 80.3% | 1.27 |
| HObbit | 43 | 34 | +9 | 85.5 | 80.3% | 1.17 |
| xiELO | 41 | 41 | 0 | 78.1 | 77.0% | 1.16 |
| zweih | 34 | 36 | −2 | 55.7 | 72.1% | 0.78 |
Statistics cover all three maps: Dust2, Inferno and Ancient.
Jame led the series, while FL1T supplied the highest average damage on the team. HObbit’s contribution gave PARIVISION a third productive performer rather than leaving the result dependent on one standout.
The qualification is important: Legacy were playing with bobz in place of arT. The stand-in finished with a 0.61 rating. PARIVISION earned the win, but this was a compromised opponent, making broader conclusions about the lineup premature.
Ancient provides the pressure test
PARIVISION lost their own Dust2 pick 5–13, answered on Legacy’s Inferno pick and recovered from 10–12 on Ancient to win 16–12. Their four consecutive overtime rounds completed a six-round run to close the series.
That recovery is the strongest evidence of resilience from the opener. A team still establishing its identity faced elimination from the series and found a way through. It does not establish a reliable pattern yet, but it gives the players a useful shared experience.
FL1T finished Ancient with 33 kills and a 1.36 rating. The deciding map reinforced the value of having several players capable of taking responsibility when a series tightens.
September explains the need for change
The opening win followed a difficult stretch. PARIVISION beat TYLOO at FISSURE Playground 3, then suffered consecutive 0–2 defeats to FURIA and magic. Their previous event had also ended with a straight-map loss to MOUZ.
PARIVISION’s five most recent completed series
| Date | Opponent | Score | Result | Tournament |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Oct. 3, 2026 | Legacy | 2–1 | Win | ESL Pro League Season 24 |
| Sept. 10, 2026 | magic | 0–2 | Loss | FISSURE Playground 3 |
| Sept. 9, 2026 | FURIA | 0–2 | Loss | FISSURE Playground 3 |
| Sept. 8, 2026 | TYLOO | 2–0 | Win | FISSURE Playground 3 |
| Aug. 16, 2026 | MOUZ | 0–2 | Loss | Esports World Cup 2026 |
Those five series produced a 2–3 record and a 4–7 map record. They span roster changes, so they describe the organisation’s recent trajectory rather than the performance of the current five.

The young riflers still have to deliver
dastan agreed that FL1T and xiELO are central to the team’s rifle output, and called for more from xiELO. He also identified mechanical adaptation for HObbit and FL1T as work still to be done. The roster’s duration remains dependent on results.
The implication is clear: experience may improve coordination, but the lineup still needs enough individual output to sustain it. A successful return for HObbit would give PARIVISION another dependable contributor without removing the demands on the rest of the team.
The Legacy victory also earned 94 VRS points ahead of the Singapore Major invitation deadline. That makes the result valuable beyond the immediate Swiss record, even without treating qualification projections as guarantees.
Pro League runs through October 11 in Katowice, with a best-of-three Swiss stage followed by single-elimination playoffs. PARIVISION’s second-round match against Spirit was underway at the time of writing. It is the next examination of whether the recovery against Legacy can translate into sustained resistance against stronger opposition.
