South American squad 9z kicked off their campaign at PGL Astana 2026 in impressive fashion, taking down higher-ranked PARIVISION in a convincing 2-0 series during the opening round of the group stage. The victory marked one of the first major surprises of the tournament, with 9z comfortably controlling both Inferno and Ancient to secure the upset.
Coming into the match, PARIVISION were considered favorites due to their strong form and top-10 world ranking status.
