Wildcard Win BC Game Masters Championship Season 2 After Defeating FOKUS
Wildcard defeated FOKUS 2-1 in the grand final of BC Game Masters Championship Season 2, securing the trophy, $30,000 in prize money, and a major boost in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS).
The North American Counter-Strike 2 squad continued its impressive rise in the competitive CS2 scene with a dominant playoff run at the LAN event in Portugal. Wildcard’s victory over FOKUS marks one of the organization’s biggest tournament wins of 2026 so far and further strengthens their position in the global CS2 rankings.
Wildcard beat FOKUS in thrilling CS2 grand final
The best-of-three grand final between Wildcard and FOKUS delivered a competitive series across all three maps:
Inferno: Wildcard 13-7 FOKUS
Dust2: FOKUS 13-10 Wildcard
Nuke: Wildcard 13-6 FOKUS
Wildcard opened the series with a confident Inferno performance after building a commanding 9-3 first-half lead. Nemanja “nEMANHA” Đukić starred on the opener with a 1.50 rating, helping Wildcard control the pace from start to finish.
FOKUS responded on Dust2 behind a massive performance from Sebastian “volt” Maloș, who posted a 2.07 rating to level the series and force a decider.
However, Wildcard dominated Nuke after recovering from an early 0-5 deficit. Miłosz “mhL” Knasiak and Jadan “HexT” Postma led the comeback as Wildcard closed the map 13-6 to secure the BC Game Masters Championship title.
HexT and mhL lead Wildcard to victory
Wildcard’s success throughout the tournament was powered by standout individual performances from several players.
HexT finished the grand final as the highest-rated player in the server with a 1.37 rating, while Polish AWPer mhL followed closely behind with a 1.26 rating.
The victory also had major implications for the Valve Regional Standings (VRS). Wildcard reportedly climbed from 35th to 27th place after gaining 75 ranking points from the tournament result. FOKUS also improved their standing after earning 68 points.
Wildcard continue strong form after roster changes
The tournament win continues Wildcard’s upward momentum following recent roster adjustments earlier in 2026.
In April, the organization signed Danny “Cxzi” Strzelczyk to complete its CS2 lineup. The roster move came shortly before the team’s strong performances in several international online and LAN events.
Earlier this year, nEMANHA discussed his decision to join Wildcard, saying the project represented “a good option for my future” and that he believed the team had “a bright future.”
The BC Game Masters victory now gives additional credibility to Wildcard’s long-term development as the team pushes toward higher-tier Counter-Strike tournaments and qualification opportunities.
Wildcard players celebrate BC Game Masters win
Following the grand final, Wildcard celebrated the victory on social media by posting:
“BC GAME MASTERS CHAMPIONS.”
HexT also reacted after the match, writing:
“2-1 vs FOKUS — WINNERS OF BC Game Masters!!!”
Wildcard coach Łukasz “splawik” Jahns praised the competitive series against FOKUS and called the matchup “always great games.”
