torzsi Proud of MOUZ Progress Ahead of CS2 Major After Strong Start With New Lineup

MOUZ AWPer Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás says the team is satisfied with its rapid development after securing back-to-back third-place finishes in recent Counter-Strike 2 tournaments.

The international CS2 roster ended its campaign at CS Asia Championships 2026 with a convincing 2-0 win over MIBR in the bronze match, continuing a promising run for the organization’s rebuilt lineup. The result came just one week after another top-three finish at PGL Astana 2026, where MOUZ also claimed third place.

MOUZ Win 10 Matches With New CS2 Lineup

Speaking after the victory in Shanghai, torzsi highlighted how quickly the squad has adapted despite major roster and role changes.

“There is a lot of role changing, a new IGL, new players, and I think we’re happy with what we showed here,” torzsi told HLTV.

The Hungarian sniper added that MOUZ collected ten victories in only two weeks with the updated lineup.

“We got ten wins with the new lineup in the last two weeks, and we’re proud of that.”

The current MOUZ roster features several important changes compared to the team that started the season. The organization promoted Adrian “xelex” Vincze from MOUZ NXT, added Justinas “jL” Lekavicius on loan, and moved Dorian “xertioN” Berman into the in-game leader role.

xertioN Impresses As New MOUZ In-Game Leader

One of the biggest storylines surrounding MOUZ is the transition of xertioN into the IGL position. The Israeli rifler has already received praise from teammates for his leadership during the team’s first events together.

At PGL Astana 2026, MOUZ secured another bronze-medal finish after defeating magic in the third-place decider. After that event, xertioN stated that the team had already achieved its initial goals.

“We definitely reached our goals as a team.”

The new MOUZ captain continued his strong form at CS Asia Championships 2026, delivering a 1.94 rating against MIBR in the bronze match.

jL and xelex Receive Praise From torzsi

torzsi also praised new additions jL and xelex for adapting quickly to tier-one Counter-Strike.

According to the AWPer, xelex showed impressive composure despite limited experience at the highest level of CS2 competition.

“I’m really happy with what they showed here.”

The MOUZ veteran added that xelex has “a great future ahead of him.”

Earlier in the tournament, jL also praised the young rifler during an interview with HLTV.

“xelex is not feeling any pressure. Maybe it’s the team helping him, or maybe he’s just a boss.”

The chemistry between the players has become one of the key talking points surrounding the roster rebuild.

MOUZ Fall Short Against Falcons and Spirit

Despite the positive results, MOUZ still experienced difficult losses against elite opponents.

At PGL Astana 2026, the team suffered a heavy semi-final defeat to Spirit. Later in Shanghai, MOUZ pushed Falcons to three maps before losing 13-7, 7-13, 10-13.

torzsi admitted the loss to Spirit remained disappointing but said the close series against Falcons proved the team can already challenge top-tier competition.

The performances against elite CS2 teams have given MOUZ fans optimism heading into the second half of the season.

MOUZ Preparing for IEM Cologne Major

The next major test for MOUZ will be the upcoming IEM Cologne Major.

However, the team will not use exactly the same lineup due to Major roster regulations. jL will not be eligible to play, while Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin is expected to temporarily return for the event.

According to torzsi, he is excited to reunite with Brollan and believes the Swedish rifler could perform better now that xertioN has taken over leadership duties.

The Hungarian AWPer also admitted that 2026 has included difficult moments individually but said he feels increasingly comfortable within the new system created by xertioN and coach Dennis “sycrone” Nielsen.

torzsi Sets MOUZ Major Goal

Looking ahead to the CS2 Major, torzsi revealed that MOUZ’s primary objective is reaching the playoffs.

He also said the team wants to help xelex experience his first Major playoff appearance.

After two consecutive podium finishes and ten victories in two weeks, MOUZ appears to be building momentum at the perfect time before one of the biggest Counter-Strike 2 tournaments of the year.
