Jimpphat: “MOUZ Are Very Confident” After Tight Win at StarLadder Budapest Major 2025

MOUZ rifler Jimi “jimpphat” Salo says his team remains “very confident” at the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, despite a shaky start and a tense 16:14 opener against PARIVISION on Overpass. Speaking to HLTV (via Cybersport.ru), the 19-year-old confirmed that MOUZ had “good practice and a great bootcamp” ahead of the Major and feels their preparation will carry them through Stage 3.

The Finnish star admitted that team comms grew frustrated early in the match, forcing xertioN to calm teammates down. Still, MOUZ recovered after halftime and closed out a narrow overtime victory powered by xertioN’s 28-kill performance.

Jimpphat highlighted that this Major follows one of the hardest training periods the roster has ever had: three weeks of full-time work after IEM Chengdu, refining both individual mechanics and team structure. He compared the prep to their strong bootcamp before PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, where they arrived confident but later struggled under stage pressure — something he believes the team has now overcome.

The Major also marks a key test of MOUZ’s tactical rebuild after the departure of former IGL siuhy. Jimpphat previously clarified that the split was about differing tactical visions, not internal conflict. Early 2025 results were inconsistent, but Budapest is seen as the first real benchmark for the improved system.

MOUZ now need two more wins in Stage 3 to secure a playoff spot.
