TaZ Praises Senzu After BC.Game’s Early Exit at IEM Atlanta 2026
BC.Game may have crashed out of IEM Atlanta 2026 without winning a map, but head coach Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas believes the team discovered a major positive during the event — the addition of Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold.
Speaking after the tournament, TaZ praised the Mongolian rifler’s impact on the squad and admitted the team’s confidence grew rapidly while practicing with him ahead of the event.
“With every day of playing with Senzu, we believed in ourselves more and more,” TaZ said. “He is an incredibly talented player and a great person. Definitely a very strong reinforcement for our roster.”
BC.Game Eliminated Early From IEM Atlanta 2026
BC.Game finished in 13th-16th place at IEM Atlanta 2026 after consecutive 0-2 losses against Team Vitality and B8. The decisive elimination series against B8 ended with defeats on Overpass (2-13) and Mirage (11-13).
The result marked a disappointing campaign for Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev and company, especially considering the attention surrounding the temporary superteam lineup assembled for the tournament.
Despite the poor finish, TaZ revealed that expectations inside the camp were initially low because the roster had almost no preparation time before the event.
Why Senzu Joined BC.Game
Senzu joined BC.Game on a temporary loan from The MongolZ ahead of IEM Atlanta 2026. The move immediately attracted attention across the Counter-Strike scene, as the young Mongolian star has become one of the fastest-rising CS2 players in Asia.
BC.Game also made emergency structural changes before the tournament:
- António “aragornN” Barbosa was benched
- Christopher “MUTiRiS” Fernandes stepped away from the active lineup
- Assistant coach Robin “ScrunK” Röpke temporarily became the in-game leader
The improvised roster left BC.Game with only a handful of practice days before facing elite opposition in Atlanta.
ScrunK: “Senzu Has a Champion’s Mentality”
ScrunK also praised Senzu in a post-match interview, highlighting both his skill level and mentality.
“You can tell Senzu has a champion’s mentality,” ScrunK said. “He’s humble, works hard, and always wants to improve.”
The stand-in IGL explained that adapting to a roster featuring veterans like s1mple and Denis “electroNic” Sharipov was very different from his previous experience in tier-two Counter-Strike.
“I don’t need to tell s1mple or electroNic what to do,” ScrunK explained.
According to TaZ, ScrunK exceeded expectations despite the difficult circumstances, helping stabilize the roster while bringing positive energy and tactical ideas to the team.
s1mple Frustrated After BC.Game Defeat
Not everyone inside BC.Game was satisfied with the team’s level at IEM Atlanta.
After the elimination, s1mple openly criticized the squad’s performance, saying it was difficult to compete when the game plan was not followed correctly from the beginning of matches.
The Ukrainian superstar described the team’s level as unacceptable considering they still had five days of preparation before the tournament started.
His comments quickly sparked discussion among CS2 fans, especially because many expected BC.Game’s star-powered lineup to make a deeper run.
apEX Defends s1mple’s Performance
Even after BC.Game’s early exit, Team Vitality captain Dan “apEX” Madesclaire defended s1mple following their opening-round series.
Vitality defeated BC.Game 13-7 on Mirage and 13-10 on Dust2, but apEX said s1mple still looked individually strong and capable of returning to elite form.
“He’s still a phenomenal player,” apEX said about s1mple after the match.
The statement added fuel to ongoing speculation surrounding s1mple’s future in competitive CS2.
What’s Next for BC.Game?
Despite the disappointing result in Atlanta, TaZ insisted the team would continue working to improve rather than treating the tournament as a failure without lessons.
BC.Game is expected to continue preparing for upcoming international events, including CS Asia Championships 2026, where the organization hopes to deliver a much stronger performance.
With Senzu earning praise from both TaZ and ScrunK, fans are already speculating whether BC.Game could attempt a longer-term deal with the Mongolian star in the future.
