Qikert: “In Russia and the CIS we’re more calm; in Brazil everything is very emotional”

MIBR rifler Aleksei “Qikert” Golubev compared the mentality of CS2 players from the CIS and Brazil, saying that teams in Russia and the wider CIS tend to be calmer, while Brazilian teams play—and celebrate—much more emotionally. He shared the thoughts in a new HLTV interview during the CS Asia Championships. “People are screaming a lot, hyping up their teammates, and I like those vibes more than the usual calm TeamSpeak,” he said. 

Qikert joined MIBR on loan in early September after a stint with PARIVISION, becoming part of the team’s new international direction alongside young AWPer kl1m. Since arriving, MIBR have already lifted two regional trophies—FERJEE Rush 2025 and Circuit X South America Season 1—before heading to Shanghai for CAC 2025. 

He also noted the adjustment to English comms on MIBR’s Portuguese-speaking core: the first weeks were tricky for both sides, but the team “got used to it” and communication has improved day by day.
