poiii’s 1.99 Rating Not Enough as AM Eliminate 100 Thieves From PCC Season 2

poiii’s 1.99 Rating Not Enough as AM Eliminate 100 Thieves From PCC Season 2
The elimination series saw AM secure the victory on Dust2 (13-6) and Anubis (19-17).
While Dust2 slipped away relatively quickly for 100 Thieves, the second map turned into a marathon battle. AM initially moved to match point at 12-8, but poiii helped drag his team back into the game with several multi-kill rounds that forced overtime.
Despite the comeback effort, AM eventually closed the map in double overtime to secure the series and advance further in the lower bracket.
poiii Delivers One of the Best Individual Performances of PCC S2
Although 100 Thieves lost the series, poiii produced staggering numbers across the two maps:
1.99 HLTV rating
72-39 K-D
119.2 ADR
55 rounds played
On Anubis alone, poiii came within a single kill of tying donk’s LAN record for kills in regulation, highlighting just how dominant his performance was.
Even with such an exceptional individual showing, the rest of the roster struggled to match the impact required to secure the series win.
100 Thieves’ PCC Run Ends After Promising Group Stage
The defeat capped off a frustrating playoff run for 100 Thieves, who had entered the bracket stage in strong form.
The team:
Went undefeated in the group stage
Defeated FOKUS in their opening playoff match
Dropped to the lower bracket after a loss to Johnny Speeds
Against Johnny Speeds, jocab delivered a standout performance, sending 100 Thieves into the elimination match against AM.
VRS Ranking Momentum Slows After Early Exit
Prior to the playoff loss, 100 Thieves had been building significant momentum in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS).
After three best-of-one victories at PCC Season 2, the team climbed to 31st in the live rankings, helped by a strong showing from sirah, who posted ratings above 2.00 in multiple group matches.
However, the playoff elimination could significantly hurt the team’s chances of qualifying for upcoming Major-related events, as they were already facing long odds in the qualification race.
At the time of reporting, 100 Thieves were also not registered for any additional upcoming LAN tournaments, making their path to more VRS points uncertain.
100 Thieves’ New CS2 Project Still Showing Promise
Despite the early exit, the roster has shown encouraging signs since returning to Counter-Strike.
The lineup blends veteran experience with emerging talent, featuring established names alongside rising players like poiii and sirah.
Earlier in the season, 100 Thieves had already:
Reached the Roman Imperium Cup V quarter-finals
Finished runner-up at DraculaN Season 5
Climbed into the top 32 of the global rankings
These results helped establish the roster as one of the most promising developing projects in the CS2 scene.
What’s Next for 100 Thieves?
While the defeat at PCC Season 2 is a setback, poiii’s breakout performance demonstrated the team’s firepower and long-term potential.
If the roster continues its upward trajectory and secures more LAN appearances, 100 Thieves could still emerge as a serious contender in the tier-two Counter-Strike scene.
For now, however, AM move forward in the tournament, while 100 Thieves leave Copenhagen with a standout individual performance—but an early playoff exit.
