HOTU player David “n0rb3r7” Danielyan commented on his team’s defeat against BetBoom Team in the MySkill Pro League Series 1 grand final, highlighting the extreme physical and mental load caused by the tournament’s playoff format.

Despite the loss, n0rb3r7 stressed that HOTU were not looking for excuses after finishing second at the CS2 LAN event in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

“I won’t make excuses… playing eight maps in a row is hard,” n0rb3r7 wrote on his Telegram channel.

HOTU Played Eight Maps in One Day

HOTU’s road to the final turned into a true endurance test. On the final day of the playoffs, the team had to play three full series, totaling eight maps:

Upper-bracket final: HOTU vs BetBoom Team (Bo3)

Lower-bracket final: HOTU vs ALLINNERS (Bo3, ended 2–0)

Grand final: HOTU vs BetBoom Team (Bo3)

This demanding schedule became a key talking point after the tournament, especially following the closely contested final.

BetBoom Team Win the Grand Final

In the grand final, BetBoom Team, led by Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov, defeated HOTU 2–1:

Anubis: 16–12 (BetBoom)

Dust2: 13–7 (HOTU)

Mirage: 13–10 (BetBoom)

With this victory, BetBoom secured first place, HOTU finished second, and ALLINNERS placed third at MySkill Pro League Series 1.

Boombl4 on Fatigue and BetBoom’s Rebuild

Boombl4 also shared his thoughts after the tournament, admitting that fatigue played a role late in the day.

“By the end of the last match against HOTU, my head wasn’t really working,” Boombl4 said.

He added that BetBoom Team are currently undergoing a “global rebuild”, praising coach Artem “Fierce” for helping the roster develop structure and consistency. Boombl4 emphasized that the team is still in a transitional phase and asked fans to remain patient.

Tournament Context and Importance

MySkill Pro League Series 1 took place on January 27–28 and featured a $6,000 prize pool, along with VRS points, making it an important event for Tier-2 CS2 teams fighting for ranking progression.
