jL Praises Fearless xelex as MOUZ’s New Roster Impresses at PGL Astana 2026

MOUZ’s rebuilt roster continues to exceed expectations at PGL Astana 2026, and one of the biggest talking points around the team is the rapid adaptation of young Hungarian prospect Adrian “xelex” Vincze. After MOUZ secured another convincing victory over Aurora in the playoffs, Justinas “jL” Lekavicius praised the rookie’s mentality and calmness under pressure, saying that xelex “is not feeling any pressure,” adding that maybe the environment around him helps — or maybe “he’s just a boss.”

The comments from jL came after MOUZ advanced to the semi-finals in Astana with another strong performance from the squad’s new-look lineup. The roster only recently underwent major changes, with MOUZ benching both Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin and Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo following a disappointing start to the 2026 season. In response, the organization promoted xelex from MOUZ NXT and brought in jL on loan from NAVI.

The rebuild was viewed as one of the boldest roster gambles of the year. MOUZ not only introduced a 17-year-old academy talent into a top-tier lineup, but also shifted Dorian “xertioN” Berman into the in-game leader role. Analysts questioned whether the team could remain competitive while simultaneously integrating a rookie, adapting to a new leadership structure, and helping jL return to tier-one Counter-Strike after nearly ten months away from elite competition.

Instead of collapsing under pressure, MOUZ quickly began showing signs of growth. Their debut event together at PGL Astana produced encouraging results almost immediately, including wins over Gentle Mates and G2 during the group stage. Although the team still experienced inconsistency — including a loss to 9z — the overall trajectory has looked positive, especially considering how little time the lineup has spent together.

A major reason for that optimism has been xelex himself. Before his promotion, the Hungarian rifler was already considered one of the most promising talents in MOUZ’s academy system. HLTV’s prospect rankings highlighted his rapid development during 2026, while multiple analysts noted that his aggressive style and confidence made him a natural fit for MOUZ’s high-tempo structure.

Still, there were understandable concerns about whether such a young player could immediately handle arena pressure and tier-one opposition. According to jL, however, xelex has looked surprisingly relaxed since joining the main roster. The Lithuanian veteran explained that even though the team’s communication became more chaotic on stage during the playoff series against Aurora, he actually viewed that as a positive sign because everyone was actively contributing instead of becoming silent under pressure.

That confidence appears to be spreading throughout the roster. xertioN recently admitted that he initially worried his move into the IGL role could hurt his own level individually, but after several matches he said he felt “pretty comfortable” leading the team. The Israeli star has also continued producing strong individual numbers despite taking on additional tactical responsibilities.

For jL personally, Astana marks an important comeback moment. The Lithuanian stepped away from NAVI’s active lineup in July 2025 to take a competitive break, with NAVI promoting academy talent makazze as his replacement. At the time, the organization described the decision as a temporary move while jL focused on recovery and time away from competition.

When MOUZ approached him about the short-term loan in 2026, jL admitted he did not expect to return to professional play so quickly. Ahead of the tournament, he described the move as an opportunity for both sides to evaluate the fit naturally, saying it was a chance for MOUZ to “try him out” without long-term pressure.

So far, the early signs suggest the experiment is working. MOUZ players and staff repeatedly emphasize the positive atmosphere around the lineup, and the organization itself celebrated the team’s playoff performance by highlighting the impressive first arena experience for both jL and xelex.

The broader Counter-Strike scene has also taken notice. Analysts continue debating whether MOUZ’s aggressive rebuild could eventually backfire due to the lack of experience inside the roster, but the team’s performances in Astana have at least temporarily silenced many early critics. The combination of xertioN’s leadership, Spinx’s stability, jL’s experience, and xelex’s fearless approach has created a lineup with significant upside if the chemistry continues improving.

For now, though, the biggest surprise may simply be how naturally xelex has adapted to elite Counter-Strike. In a scene where young players often struggle with pressure during their first major arena appearances, the Hungarian rookie already looks comfortable competing against some of the best teams in the world. And if jL’s assessment is accurate, MOUZ may have discovered not only another academy success story — but potentially their next star player.
