Molodoy Claims First HLTV Big Event MVP at FISSURE Playground 2

Danil “molodoy” Golubenko has captured his first HLTV x 1XBET Most Valuable Player award by leading FURIA to win FISSURE Playground 2. 

The 20-year-old AWPer, who joined FURIA in April from AMKAL, impressed across the tournament, particularly in the playoffs and grand final, edging out several contenders in a tight race.

• His final rating: 1.19, the best on FURIA.

• In playoffs his rating was ~1.22.

• Among competitors for MVP were Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato, Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold, and Ayush “mzinho” Batbold, all within a 0.02 rating margin.

• Molodoy also led FURIA in “round wins” (1.06 KPRW), in “Swing” (a +2.70% swing), and posted a strong multi-kill rate (21.3%).

• This victory marks FURIA’s first Big Event trophy. After 38 events participated as an organization, they finally broke through.

• FURIA had to grind through a tough bracket: beating Liquid, G2, Astralis, and overcoming The MongolZ in a long five-map grand final.

• The grand final was dramatic: several close maps (two going to overtime), and significant comebacks. For example, on Mirage, The MongolZ led 8-3 before FURIA began their push. On Nuke, FURIA had a strong lead (12-3) but MongolZ forced late pressure and OT.
