MIBR acquired by Spun Media, joins new esports umbrella EZOR
Brazilian tech-media company Spun Mídia has completed its acquisition of the Brazilian esports organisation MIBR, placing the brand alongside fellow Brazil-based team LOS under a newly created holding company dubbed EZOR.

Under this arrangement, both MIBR and LOS will retain their brand identities and operational autonomy, but will now operate with the backing, infrastructure and strategic support of EZOR.

Spun Mídia has earmarked an investment of approximately USD 18.5 million (around R$ 100 million) over five years into the EZOR initiative—a commitment aimed at expanding esports and gaming communities in Brazil and elevating them to higher levels of competition.

Spun Mídia’s CEO João Pedro Manetti explained that MIBR’s strong Brazilian fan base and established brand made it an attractive acquisition target as Spun pursues large-scale growth in the gaming and media sectors.

For MIBR, the acquisition arrives at a time of transitional change. The Counter-Strike squad recently made international signings—namely Klimentii “kl1m” Krivosheev and Aleksei “Qikert” Golubev—as the organisation looks to scale both its competitive performance and global reach.

Meanwhile, LOS’ CEO Alexandre “kakaveL” Peres—appointed to oversee competitive matters within EZOR—emphasised that the possibility of “internationalisation” was present during negotiation phases, and that this would not come at the expense of the Brazilian talent base but rather serve to elevate and support it.

The acquisition additionally signals a return of MIBR to full Brazilian ownership, following its earlier association with Immortals Gaming Club (IGC).
