“We showed we can play well on LAN” — Maden Reflects on Zero Tenacity’s Run at DraculaN S2

Pavle “Maden” Bošković, rifler for Zero Tenacity, expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance in DraculaN Season 2, emphasizing that the squad proved its ability to play strong Counter-Strike on LAN.

While their campaign ended just short of the finals, Maden was proud of several results, including victories over ECSTATIC and GenOne, and a closely contested elimination match against Passion UA

Zero Tenacity’s path in the bracket was marked by narrow margins and high-level play — a showing that, in Maden’s view, helped restore faith in his skills and the team’s potential.

Tournament Journey & Key Results

Notable Wins & Competitiveness

  • Zero Tenacity vs ECSTATIC / GenOne: Before reaching the lower-bracket final, Zero Tenacity secured wins over strong teams like ECSTATIC and GenOne. These victories bolstered their credibility at LAN.

  • Lower Bracket Final vs Passion UA: Their elimination match came against Passion UA. It was tightly contested, going to overtime on the decider map, where Passion edged out Zero Tenacity. Maden called the match “very close” and acknowledged both sides saved match points.

Although they fell short, Zero Tenacity left the LAN with their heads held high — pushing deep, challenging opponents, and showing consistency in their play.

Maden’s Individual Performance & Narrative

Maden’s personal performance was solid across the 14 maps he played, finishing with an average rating of 1.10

Earlier, during his time in Falcons, Maden admitted his perceived stock had dipped. He sees this tournament as a chance to rebuild that reputation:

“I think I’m playing much better individually than in Falcons … I’ll just keep grinding and see what happens in the future.”
He also said that while he doesn’t consider himself a primary leader, he helped in the “micro things” in-game, and supports the lead voice of nEMANHA.

He noted that this was his first LAN since a stand-in appearance for HEROIC at BLAST Bounty, and that he thrives in LAN environments more than online play. The LAN energy, he said, “is what we live for in CS.”

Context & Challenges

From Falcons to Zero Tenacity

Maden’s shift from Falcons to Zero Tenacity marked a fresh start. He mentioned that while his time in Falcons involved heavy grinding, the team never fully “clicked” due to differing visions and roster instability.

Rebuilding from that period included limited offers and a damaged reputation, which he now hopes to reverse through strong LAN performances like this one.

Team Chemistry & Communication

Maden emphasized the emotional boost of playing in his native language in a Balkan team environment. He described some early communication hurdles (switching between English and native callouts), but said things improved as the event progressed.

He also credited playing alongside friends for positive energy and cohesion, which he believes contributed to their positive performances.

The Competitive Environment & Randomness

In the interview, Maden observed that the LAN showed how tight the CS2 field is now:

“This event shows that everyone is on a good level nowadays, and maybe the game is a bit random, since everyone can beat everyone.”
“For us, we just showed what we were doing the past few months… very soon we’re going to be even better.”

He acknowledged that stamina matters — Zero Tenacity played three Best-of-3s in a single day, which is demanding. He admitted that playing many BO3s consecutively was physically and mentally challenging.

Looking Ahead: Goals & Expectations

Focus on LANs & VRS Progression

Maden and Zero Tenacity plan to continue competing in LAN tournaments, aiming to climb the VRS (Visa Roster System) ladder en route to securing a Major spot. He expressed belief that they are capable of reaching it given consistency and momentum:

“We showed good team chemistry and plays this tournament. In a few months, I think we can be much better.”
“We’re just gonna keep grinding LANs … and hopefully make it to the Major.”

Rebuilding Momentum & Reputation

For Maden personally, this run helps reposition him. The strong LAN, solid stats, and visible leadership help rebuild trust with fans and organizations.

The performances also give Zero Tenacity confidence in their core. They showed that with tighter execution, they can compete with top teams under pressure at LAN — not just online.
