Legacy Defeat Falcons to Win CS Asia Championships 2026 as latto Claims Back-to-Back MVP Awards

Legacy stun Falcons in CAC 2026 grand final

Legacy secured one of the biggest victories of the 2026 Counter-Strike season by defeating Falcons 3-1 in the CS Asia Championships 2026 grand final, successfully defending the title they won in 2025.

The Brazilian squad bounced back after losing Nuke 13-11 before dominating the remainder of the series with wins on Ancient (13-9), Mirage (13-6), and Dust2 (13-6). The result marks Legacy’s second consecutive CAC trophy and further strengthens their status ahead of the upcoming CS2 Major.

According to HLTV, the victory was especially meaningful for Legacy star Bruno “latto” Rebelatto, who called the Falcons matchup extra special because of the respect he has for the international roster.

Bruno Rebelatto delivered another elite performance throughout the tournament and secured back-to-back CS Asia Championships MVP medals.

HLTV reported that latto entered the grand final narrowly leading the MVP race before producing a massive 1.52 series rating against Falcons. His standout performance came on Ancient, where he posted a 2.22 rating alongside 28 kills to completely swing the momentum of the series. 

After the match, latto emphasized how important the victory was for Legacy’s long-term development:

“The fact that we managed to win that final against them shows that we’re on the right track.”

The Brazilian rifler also admitted that defeating Falcons carried additional emotional value because of the strength and reputation of the opposition. 

arT’s leadership transforms Legacy before the CS2 Major

Andrei Piovezan has quickly become one of the key figures behind Legacy’s resurgence since joining the roster.

Before the grand final, arT spoke about the importance of leadership and handling pressure, suggesting that Falcons carried more expectations entering the series. He also revealed that he had developed a stronger leadership approach during his time with Legacy. 

latto later praised arT’s impact both in and outside the server, highlighting how important his experience has become for the team’s structure and confidence.

The championship run itself was impressive from start to finish. Legacy reached the grand final after eliminating MIBR in the semi-finals, recovering from a difficult start on Mirage before comfortably closing out the series on Inferno. 

Falcons still searching for first major trophy with karrigan

Despite the loss, Falcons continued to show improvement under legendary in-game leader Finn Andersen.

The international roster reached the CAC 2026 grand final after defeating MOUZ 2-1 in the semi-finals, marking their second consecutive grand final appearance. 

Falcons coach Danny Sørensen admitted before the final that lifting a trophy would help remove pressure from the roster, but Legacy denied them that breakthrough moment. 

Legacy become serious CS2 Major contenders

Legacy’s CS Asia Championships 2026 victory now positions the Brazilian team as a dangerous outsider heading into the next major international event.

latto acknowledged that winning a second consecutive CAC title will likely attract more attention from opponents studying their style, but he made it clear that Legacy’s ambitions continue to grow. The team’s immediate goal is reaching the playoffs at the upcoming Major, although confidence inside the camp is clearly rising after defeating one of the strongest rosters in Counter-Strike 2.

With consecutive CAC titles, a red-hot latto, and renewed leadership under arT, Legacy may no longer be considered underdogs for much longer.
