Latto claims first career MVP as Legacy lift CAC 2025 trophy

Bruno “latto” Rebelatto earned the first MVP medal of his career — a bronze-tier HLTV x 1xBet award — after spearheading Legacy’s title run at the CS Asia Championships 2025 (CAC) in Shanghai. Legacy edged 3DMAX 3–2 in a best-of-five grand final to claim the organization’s first international LAN trophy.

Latto topped the ten players in the grand final by rating and finished the event with a 1.19 rating across 18 maps — the seventh-highest overall at the tournament and second among players with 10+ maps, behind only Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken (1.22 over 10 maps). In the Ancient decider (13–6), latto delivered a 1.88-rated performance to close out the series.

How the final unfolded

Legacy struck first on 3DMAX’s Nuke (13–6) before the French side, led by Alexandre “bodyy” Pianaro, punched back on Dust2 (13–11) and Inferno (13–5). With the series tied, Legacy steadied on Train (13–10) and then overran 3DMAX on Ancient (13–6) behind latto and Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer. “We weren’t being a team and being a champion right now is a feeling I couldn’t even imagine… we were like three months away from home and getting this trophy was really worth it,” Legacy’s captain Lucas “lux” Meneghini said on the broadcast.

Path to the title (and to the final for 3DMAX)

Legacy’s week included a playoff-clinching win over 3DMAX in groups, a quarter-final victory over FUT, and then the five-map triumph in the final. 3DMAX, meanwhile, beat fnatic in the quarters and eliminated Liquid in the semi-final to reach championship Sunday.

What the players said

latto, MVP & champion: “I’m feeling amazing… it was a very difficult tournament for us… To win our first tournament and be MVP, it’s very good, because I know I am going forward in the steps of my career.” (Interview conducted with a Portuguese-speaking translator.)

lux, Legacy IGL, on the win and team mindset: “We weren’t being a team and being a champion right now is a feeling I couldn’t even imagine,” he told the broadcast after the final; earlier in Shanghai he stressed that Legacy’s “good vibes” culture means “we need to pressure ourselves to be better, but we don’t need to be hard on our teammates.”

3DMAX voices during the run: Before and during CAC, 3DMAX players spoke about their ambitions and growth under Filip “Graviti” Brankovic’s leadership change. Bryan “Lucky” Chastang said, “I think we’re the favorite here, so hopefully we can live up to it,” while bodyy noted, “We’re moving forward into being ourselves more in those pressure games.”
