Karrigan Says Falcons Will “Find the Right Formula” After CS2 Final Defeats

Team Falcons captain Finn Andersen remains confident in his roster despite consecutive grand final losses in Counter-Strike 2 tournaments. The Danish in-game leader stated that Falcons are still building toward a championship-winning formula after falling short in two major events.

Karrigan Reacts to Falcons’ Recent CS2 Final Losses

Following Falcons’ latest defeat, karrigan shared a message to fans and supporters, admitting that the team has not yet shown its best level in finals but insisting success will come with time.

“This team is special. Even though we haven’t been able to show ourselves in finals yet, I know we will find the right formula to win. Whether it happens at the next tournaments or later, this team will win.”

The veteran IGL also acknowledged his own struggles and the pressure surrounding the new superteam project.

“I know I can play much better and call much better. The pressure is huge, but I like it.”

The statement came shortly after Falcons lost another CS2 grand final, extending the organization’s wait for a major title with its rebuilt lineup.

Falcons Reach Back-to-Back CS2 Finals

Since joining Team Falcons from FaZe Clan in April 2026, karrigan has already guided the team to two grand finals.

Falcons first reached the final at the PGL Astana 2026, where they lost 0-3 to Team Spirit. Despite the heavy defeat, karrigan described second place at his debut event as an acceptable result while the roster continued to develop synergy.

The team later advanced to another final at the CS Asia Championships 2026 but once again finished as runners-up after losing to Legacy.

While Falcons’ deep playoff runs have impressed many fans, questions remain about the roster’s ability to close out high-pressure matches against elite opposition.

Analysts Criticize Karrigan’s Individual Form

One of the biggest talking points surrounding Falcons has been karrigan’s personal performance. Across recent events, the Danish captain reportedly posted a 0.73 rating, leading to criticism from analysts and community figures.

CS2 analyst Alex Ellenberg argued that karrigan’s current individual level is not strong enough for consistent tier-one success in modern Counter-Strike.

Despite the criticism, many players inside Falcons continue to publicly support their captain and praise his leadership qualities.

M0NESY Praises Karrigan’s Leadership System

Falcons AWPer Ilya Osipov recently explained that he feels extremely comfortable inside karrigan’s tactical system.

“In his style, I feel like a fish in water.”

According to m0NESY, karrigan constantly brings ideas, confidence, and structure to the team during matches and practice sessions.

Young Falcons rifler Maxim Lukin also praised the Danish veteran, highlighting his ability to adapt mid-round based on small details noticed during gameplay.

Zonic and NiKo Back Falcons’ New Captain

Falcons head coach Danny Sørensen stated that karrigan added much-needed leadership and energy to the lineup. According to zonic, the experienced IGL helps manage personalities inside a star-studded roster filled with strong voices.

Meanwhile, Falcons superstar Nikola Kovač revealed that the organization had very limited options when searching for a new captain.

“It was either Finn [karrigan] or nobody.”

NiKo explained that Falcons believed the move significantly improved the team’s long-term potential heading into upcoming tier-one CS2 tournaments.

Can Falcons Win a CS2 Trophy in 2026?

Despite criticism, Falcons’ immediate results suggest the roster already has championship potential. Reaching two grand finals shortly after adding karrigan demonstrates the squad’s high ceiling, even if the team is still searching for consistency under pressure.

The main challenge for Falcons now will be converting playoff appearances into trophies while improving their performances in high-stakes finals.

For karrigan, the message remains simple: the process is not finished yet, but he believes Falcons will eventually become one of the best CS2 teams in the world.
