Johnny Speeds Parts Ways with Coach BARBARR, Player Svedjehed and Trialist Licale

The Swedish Counter-Strike organisation Johnny Speeds has today confirmed the departure of three key personnel: coach André “BARBARR” Möller, benched rifler Leo “Svedjehed” Svedjehed and trial player Liam “Licale” Leckremo.

Reasoning & Context

After a period of mixed results and ongoing roster experimentation, Johnny Speeds is looking to restructure ahead of the 2026 competitive season. The organisation indicated it will soon announce its new coach and final player addition.

Coach BARBARR joined back in June 2025 to lead the team after his stint in VALORANT. In his tenure he coached 162 maps with a 77–85 record.  His departure thus follows a roughly five-month period during which the team failed to find consistent high-tier results.

Player Svedjehed had been with the squad for around seven months. He was initially signed in April 2025, replacing Kalle “Ro1f” Johansson. On 20 October 2025, he was benched in favour of trialist Licale. Licale, however, only lasted four weeks in the trial role before being released in today’s announcement.

Performance Under Trial

During his trial period, the 25-year-old Licale competed in events such as the Winline Insight Season 9, CCT S3 Europe Series 9, Red Bull GIBAWAY JOURNEY 2025 and Svenska Cupen 2025. He posted an average rating of 0.85.  The team’s best finish during this window was a 3rd place at the Svenska Cupen LAN in Stockholm; other results included a first-round playoff exit at the Red Bull event and group-stage eliminations at the online competitions.

Current Roster & Moving Forward

With the departures effective, Johnny Speeds now fields:

  • William “draken” Sundin

  • Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson

  • Anton “Sapec” Palmgren

  • Ludvig “HEAP” Alonso
    as the four confirmed members.

The organisation emphasises that it is actively working on finalising the coach and the fifth player. With the forthcoming announcements, it appears the Swedish squad aims to stabilise its lineup ahead of the new season cycle.

Implications

  • The coaching change signals a shift in strategy: after underwhelming form, a fresh leader could attempt to reset the squad’s trajectory.

  • The quick turnover of a trial player like Licale suggests the team did not find the fit they hoped for within a short timeframe.

  • For Svedjehed, being released signals a setback after only months with the squad; his next move will likely be under scrutiny.

  • For fans and observers, Johnny Speeds’ upcoming announcements will be critical in assessing whether they aim to rebuild around the current core or pivot to a new direction entirely.
