“Iberian Soul, 9INE, OG, and PARIVISION Qualify for StarLadder StarSeries Fall”
Four teams—OG, 9INE, PARIVISION, and Iberian Soul—have secured their places at the StarLadder StarSeries Fall LAN in Budapest (September 18–21), following standout performances in the Europe Closed Qualifier.
Qualifier Format & Context
Originally structured as a LAN group stage spanning North and South America as well as Europe, the qualifier was shifted online and consolidated in Europe to reduce scheduling conflicts. Only one top‑20 team, Ninjas in Pyjamas, received an invite based on VRS rankings—but they were later withdrawn from the event after losing their opener to 9INE, making room for direct promotion to the main event.
9INE’s Path to LAN
9INE punched above their weight, knocking out BIG twice—once in the Group A winners' match, then again in the decisive qualifier.
On Inferno, Love “phzy” Smidebrant delivered a masterclass: 30 kills, 16 deaths, a 1.55 rating, and a clutch overtime win that reset the series. They then ran away with the decider on Nuke.
OG’s Clean Sweep
OG breezed through their campaign, dropping not a single map. Wins over TNL, JiJieHao, and FUT cemented their LAN ticket. Standouts included Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi, who led the qualifier with a 1.46 overall rating, followed closely by Olle “spooke” Grundström at 1.37.
PARIVISION’s Comeback Drive
PARIVISION’s journey was marked by resilience. In Group B, they defeated fnatic and ENCE, but stumbled in the battle against ECSTATIC—losing Train in overtime after squandering an 11‑4 lead. Still, Vladislav “xiELO” Lysov spearheaded the Dust2 rebound, and Andrey “BELCHONOKK” Yasinskiy rallied back on Inferno to secure their berth.
Iberian Soul’s Gritty Qualifier Run
Iberian Soul advanced through the final qualification stages with solid wins, including besting FUT and fnatic—finishing strong to round out the four qualifying slots.
Map Highlights vs. fnatic:
-
Inferno: Iberian Soul fell 9–13
-
Mirage: Dominated fnatic 13–3
-
Overpass: Closed out with a tight 13–11 victory.
Looking Forward
These four teams—OG, 9INE, PARIVISION, and Iberian Soul—will head to Budapest come mid-September to compete in the $500,000 StarLadder StarSeries Fall event.
