HLTV Live from Majestic LanDaLan: Upsets, Eliminations & Drama in Moscow

The Majestic LanDaLan 3 LAN event in Moscow has kicked off with intensity and surprises, featuring eight top teams competing for a $50,000 prize pool and VRS points.  HLTV is on the ground providing real-time coverage, match updates, photos, and player interviews.

Tournament Format & Stakes

Majestic LanDaLan 3 features:

  • 8 teams in the main event.

  • Group stage in GSL / double elimination format, with Bo3 matches.

  • $50,000 prize pool and VRS weight attached to performance.

  • The event runs from September 25 through 28, culminating in a Grand Final.

The stakes are high: teams are fighting not only for prize money but also for VRS (Visa Roster System) positioning, which influences roster flexibility and status in the CIS region.

Day 1 & Beyond: Key Matches and Storylines

Upset on Day One — 9BOOMPRO Over Nemiga

Among the biggest shocks so far: 9BOOMPRO (a mixed roster led by Ax1Le and FL4MUS) upset Nemiga. After dropping Mirage, 9BOOMPRO bounced back to win Inferno and Dust2, turning the series around.

The win was a statement: 9BOOMPRO had been perceived as underdogs but showed they can compete. This result sent Nemiga reeling early in the group stage.

BetBoom Clinch Playoff Spot

BetBoom delivered on expectations, securing their spot in the playoffs after besting TPuDCATb TPu in a Bo3. They won on Ancient and Nuke, solidifying their path forward.

With that victory, BetBoom also improved their VRS ranking and locked in at least $3,500 in prize money.

Nemiga’s Silent Exit & 1eeR’s Reaction

Nemiga’s tournament ended in disappointment: after their loss to 9BOOMPRO, they were defeated by Nuclear TigeRES, sending them out in joint-last place.

Their captain, Aliaksandr “1eeR” Nahorny, later called the result “embarrassing,” accepting responsibility as both IGL and captain.

“The coach and captain bear the main responsibility … we lost 0-2 and got eliminated.”
He also left open the possibility of internal changes: “either in approach or somewhere else.”

Under recent coaching changes—Xoma replacing boX as interim head coach—Nemiga’s future appears uncertain.

Match Spotlight: Nuclear TigeRES vs Nemiga

The elimination match between Nuclear TigeRES and Nemiga underscored how narrow margins decide LAN outcomes.

  • Map veto: Nuclear TigeRES removed Overpass, Nemiga removed Nuke, and so on.

  • Game results:

    • Ancient: 13–11 in favor of Nuclear TigeRES

    • Train: 13–10—Nuclear TigeRES closed the series 2–0.

That win cemented TigeRES’ continued run in the event, while Nemiga bowed out under heavy scrutiny.

Emerging Themes & Narratives

Mix Teams Making Waves

A striking pattern at Majestic LanDaLan is the success of mixed rosters. 9BOOMPRO, composed of players from different lineups (notably Ax1Le and FL4MUS), showed synergy and resilience in their upset over Nemiga.

These hybrid teams are challenging conventional setups and proving that chemistry can be built quickly in LAN settings.

Pressure on Favorites & Benchmark Teams

BetBoom entered as a favorite and delivered — but matches will only become tougher. Achieving consistency in high-stakes settings is the real test.

Other top squads like PARIVISION also started with wins, aiming to stake claim to the upper bracket.

Elimination Sensitivity & Organizational Stability

Nemiga’s collapse highlights how delicate LAN runs can be. Organizational stability, roster trust, and mental fortitude are as critical as raw firepower. 1eeR’s public admission suggests introspection could follow.

Meanwhile, teams like BetBoom are building momentum and taking advantage of shaky competition.

Visuals & Venue Energy

HLTV’s on-site coverage is capturing more than just match scores. Their galleries from Day 1 and Day 2 showcase team setups, audience moments, behind-the-scenes interviews, and the general LAN atmosphere.

These visuals help viewers around the world feel the immediacy and energy of competition in Moscow.
