HEROIC Sign Swedish Anchor susp, Making First Major Roster Addition of 2026

HEROIC have officially announced the signing of Tim “susp” Ångström, marking their first significant roster change of the 2026 competitive season. The 20-year-old Swedish rifler joins the Danish/Norwegian organization to fill the void left by the recently benched Simon “yxngstxr” Boije, keeping the anchor role within Scandinavia.

susp’s arrival reunites him with Linus “nilo” Bergman, his former teammate from Metizport in 2024, offering HEROIC continuity and experience as they head into a busy competitive calendar. The team have now solidified a five-man active lineup following departures and internal role shifts.

Background on susp’s Career

Before joining HEROIC, susp played for Wildcard, a North American team, where he joined in the summer of 2024 alongside Love “phzy” Smidebrant. After an extended period on Wildcard’s bench, susp requested to be transfer listed in July 2025 — leaving him without regular competitive play for many months until now.

At Wildcard, he showed promise as a rifler and capable anchor, but struggles to break into a stable starting five saw him sidelined throughout late 2024 and most of 2025. His landing at HEROIC represents a significant opportunity to reignite his competitive trajectory. This is particularly true given his existing rapport with nilo, which HEROIC’s management clearly valued.

HEROIC’s Roster Restructuring

HEROIC’s active roster, after this signing, consists of:

  • Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç

  • Linus “nilo” Bergman

  • Tim “susp” Ångström

  • Christoffer “Chr1zN” Storgaard

  • Alimzhan “Alkaren” Bitimbay

  • with **Tobias “TOBIZ” Theo as coach.

This fifth addition arrives after the team previously shuffled Linus “LNZ” Holtäng to an inactive role and moved Simon “yxngstxr” Boije onto the bench. The shift follows HEROIC’s broader attempts to stabilize their lineup after various off-season adjustments.

Chr1zN, a Danish IGL, was recently announced as part of the team’s revised leadership core, and Alkaren continues to provide firepower as a young, high-potential AWPer. Together with xfl0ud and nilo, they aim to blend experience and versatility.

Wider Transfer Context in CS2

HEROIC’s move with susp occurs against the backdrop of broader roster shifts across the Counter-Strike 2 scene. One of the most talked-about stories of 2025 was the departure of Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev from Natus Vincere after nearly a decade with the organization. He later signed with BC.Game Esports, a surprising move that re-shaped player transfer discussions across tier 1 and tier 2 teams.

s1mple, regarded as one of the greatest Counter-Strike players ever, briefly spent time on loan with FaZe Clan during the 2025 BLAST.tv Austin Major but was eventually benched before joining BC.Game permanently. His presence has boosted visibility for smaller orgs and sparked speculation about future roster building strategies across the competitive landscape.

While s1mple’s story is separate from HEROIC’s acquisition of susp, the larger “rostermania” of 2025–2026 has pushed many teams — including HEROIC — to reassess personnel and seek competitive gains through experienced but available players.

What This Means for HEROIC’s Future

HEROIC’s signing of susp signals their intent to compete at a high level in upcoming events, starting with major early-season LAN tournaments such as IEM Kraków, for which invites have already been confirmed.

By blending players with prior synergy and adding fresh international talent, HEROIC hope to find a balance between strategic depth and in-game firepower. susp’s role as anchor will be key in stabilizing post-plant situations and providing reliability in high-pressure rounds.

The international CS2 community will now watch to see how susp integrates into the roster and whether HEROIC can leverage these changes into consistent results in a competitive 2026 season.
