Finn Andersen emerges as the most-picked Fantasy player ahead of PGL Astana 2026 debut with Team Falcons
With PGL Astana 2026 set to begin, all eyes are on Finn Andersen, whose first appearance for Team Falcons has already made him the most popular selection in HLTV Fantasy. The veteran in-game leader appears in more than half of all submitted teams, underlining both the excitement surrounding his transfer and the confidence fans have in Falcons’ chances at the event.
According to HLTV’s Fantasy data, karrigan carries a price tag of $183,000 and leads all player selections ahead of the tournament. His popularity comes despite the fact that this will be his first official event under the Falcons banner after ending his second and highly successful stint with FaZe Clan.
The Danish captain’s arrival marks the beginning of a new chapter for Falcons, who signed him in hopes of turning consistent deep tournament runs into championship victories. The organization has repeatedly reached finals over the last year but struggled to convert those appearances into trophies, with their last title dating back to PGL Bucharest 2025.
karrigan’s move also reunited him with former teammate Nikola Kovač, while legendary coach Danny Sørensen now oversees the project. The organization hopes the veteran leader can bring the structure and championship mentality that previously helped him deliver trophies with teams such as Astralis, MOUZ, and FaZe.
During his second spell with FaZe, karrigan led the international roster to some of the biggest achievements in the organization’s history. Those accomplishments included victory at the PGL Major Antwerp 2022, an Intel Grand Slam Season 4 triumph, and multiple deep Major runs across the CS2 era.
However, FaZe’s form declined significantly during the 2026 season following the departure of Robin Kool to Team Vitality. The roster failed to maintain its previous consistency and eventually missed a Major qualification for the first time in the organization’s Counter-Strike history.
Speaking ahead of his Falcons debut, karrigan explained that he was motivated by the opportunity to build something new again. The veteran leader acknowledged the emotional nature of leaving FaZe, but said the Falcons project and its ambitions convinced him to take on another challenge late in his career.
The Fantasy interest around the Danish IGL is also tied to expectations surrounding Falcons at the Kazakhstan event. HLTV’s rankings currently place Falcons among the highest-rated teams attending the tournament, increasing confidence that the roster can reach the playoff stage.
Alongside karrigan, other notable Fantasy selections include Justinas Lekavicius and Adrian Vincze, both of whom are also making notable debuts at the event with MOUZ. HLTV reported that jL has already become one of the most frequently selected players in the game, appearing in nearly one-fifth of Fantasy lineups.
The opening matches for PGL Astana 2026 have already been revealed, with Falcons scheduled to begin their campaign against K27. The matchup will officially mark the start of the karrigan era for Falcons and could provide an early glimpse into how quickly the new-look roster can adapt before the busy summer calendar continues toward the next Major cycle.
