FalleN Reacts After FURIA’s 13–2 Smash Over NAVI at Budapest Major: “A Light Relief, But It’s Only One Game”

FURIA opened Stage 3 of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 with a crushing 13–2 victory over NAVI on Nuke, prompting captain Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo to describe the win as “a light relief” — but warned the team must stay grounded.

According to Pley’s match report, KSCERATO posted a 2.15 rating, while molodoy finished 19–6, as FURIA overwhelmed the reigning CS2 Major champions.

FalleN: “We can’t get ahead of ourselves”

Speaking after the match, FalleN praised FURIA’s discipline but downplayed the blowout:

“There are so many good teams here and it was just one game. We can’t get ahead of ourselves.”

He added that the opener carried extra pressure since NAVI had already been warmed up by earlier stages, and admitted the team felt “relief” once the victory was secured.

YEKINDAR: Tough bootcamp, strong map pool

Teammate Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis revealed the squad struggled during bootcamp:

“We didn’t have the best bootcamp… but we picked up the pace at the end.”

He highlighted FURIA’s versatile map pool and balanced roles as key strengths heading deeper into the Major.

YEKINDAR also addressed the viral handshake moment, explaining he avoided handshakes with NAVI because he was feeling unwell and didn’t want to risk spreading anything.

What’s next?

The win moves FURIA to 1-0 in Stage 3, just two victories away from securing playoffs at the Budapest Major. NAVI, meanwhile, fall to the lower bracket and must fight through elimination matches.

FURIA enter the event as one of 2025’s hottest teams, having lifted four trophies this year — but FalleN insists the focus remains on consistency, not hype.
