ECLOT reinstate kreaz as IGL: “We apologise to our fans for this clown fiesta”

August 16, 2025 — Czech outfit ECLOT has officially reinstated Rasmus “kreaz” Johansson as their in-game leader, replacing Áron “Aaron” Homoki, who had joined just a month prior and featured in 23 maps. In an open statement, ECLOT admitted:

“To be fully transparent, we made a mistake. It was not working and it was far from ideal… We apologise to our fans for this clown fiesta and truly appreciate you staying with us through it all.”

Kreaz's return: A full-circle moment

Kreaz previously led ECLOT through 2024, including their deep run at the Shanghai Major RMR, where they missed a Major berth after a hard-fought 2–2 group-stage showdown against fnatic. Following that, he parted ways with ECLOT at the end of the year and briefly joined Sangal, only to leave due to the team not securing enough Valve Regional Standings (VRS) points .

ECLOT’s tumultuous year

ECLOT experiences were far from smooth this year—they shuffled their roster six times in 2025. Amid these changes, they attempted a fresh direction by signing Aaron, but the experiment clearly fell short. The consequent return of kreaz marks a return to familiarity for both the squad and the fans.

As for the current lineup:

Player Role/Notes
Rasmus “kreaz” Johansson IGL, returning
Vít “nbqq” Pohlot AWPer
David “forsyy” Bílý Lurker
Martin “Dytor” Handl Rifler
Emilis “spardaus” Blažys Rifler
Pavel “replay” Vaněk Coach

What’s next for kreaz & ECLOT?

Kreaz's tactical experience and prior synergy with the squad will be put to the test immediately. His familiarity with ECLOT’s culture—orchestrating defaults, mid-round adjustments, and in-game reads—could stabilize a team disrupted by months of roster turbulence.

For the roster, ethos shifts back toward structured leadership established under kreaz’s watch. Whether this translate into consistency and deeper LAN runs ahead remains to be seen.

TL;DR

After a rocky attempt with new leadership, ECLOT has admitted their misstep and reinstated former in-game leader kreaz. The Swede returns after departing at the end of 2024 and a brief, VRS-disrupted stint with Sangal. ECLOT’s in-season upheaval—including six roster changes—necessitated the change. Kreaz heads back into a familiar framework alongside nbqq, forsyy, Dytor, spardaus, and coach replay. The full-circle return marks another chapter for ECLOT—one aiming to capitalize on prior chemistry, recalibrate strategy, and rebuild momentum.
