dycha Leaves Betclic Apogee and Becomes Free Agent Again
Rating: 7.5/10 – High-impact roster move amid Betclic rebuild
Polish rifler Paweł Dycha (dycha) has officially left Betclic Apogee and is once again available as a free agent, according to HLTV.
The move ends dycha’s second stint with the team in under a year and underlines the ongoing instability surrounding Betclic’s CS roster.
dycha exits Betclic after short second stint
dycha originally joined Betclic in July 2025, but his future with the team quickly became uncertain. In September, the organization announced that it would not renew his contract, effectively benching him after an average 1.03 HLTV rating during his first spell.
However, following the departure of AWPer Milan “hypex” Polowiec to GamerLegion, Betclic opted to re-sign dycha to stabilize the lineup and protect their Valve Regional Standings (VRS) points. That return proved temporary.
As of December 31, dycha has left the active roster again, re-entering the open market.
Context: Betclic’s roster collapse in 2025
Betclic’s decision cannot be viewed in isolation. Over the past months, the organization has lost several key players:
Kuba “jcobbb” Pietruszewski was sold to a tier-one organization, later revealed to be FaZe Clan
hypex transferred to GamerLegion
Patryk “Melavi” Barański was benched
Betclic withdrew from multiple tournaments, citing underwhelming results and the need to reassess their project
This sequence of moves has effectively dismantled the team’s original core and forced repeated short-term fixes.
dycha still active despite free agency
Despite being without a permanent team, dycha has not stepped away from competition. HLTV reports that he has recently been standing in for Venom, keeping match practice and visibility at a competitive level.
This continued activity makes dycha an attractive option for teams seeking an experienced rifler with recent official match exposure.
dycha on returning to Betclic earlier this season
When dycha was brought back into the lineup after hypex’s transfer, he explained that the team needed immediate help following the loss of two important players. At the time, he stated that he had agreed to stay “until the end of the season at least.”
That plan has now changed, reflecting Betclic’s shifting priorities and uncertain long-term direction.
What’s next for dycha?
At 28 years old, dycha brings:
-
Tier-two and tier-one experience
-
LAN exposure
-
Recent official match play as a stand-in
With several European teams expected to make changes early in the new season, dycha’s name is likely to remain relevant in the CS2 transfer market over the coming weeks.
