Betclic Bring Back dycha to Starting Lineup Before Birch Cup After Contract Extension
Polish CS2 organization Betclic have confirmed that Paweł “dycha” Dycha is returning to their active roster. The reinstatement follows a contract extension, reversing an earlier decision not to renew his deal.
This move comes shortly after the departure of AWPer Milan “hypex” Polowiec, who transferred to GamerLegion. The roster change also helps Betclic retain their VRS rank in light of recent lineup instability.
The Dycha Departure and Return: Timeline of Events
Initial Signing & Early Phase with Betclic
Dycha originally joined Betclic in July 2025, filling in for Oskar “hfah” Wroński, who had been benched. At the time, Betclic saw him as a veteran presence capable of stabilizing their lineup. His performance averaged around a 1.03 rating during his early tenure.
Non-Renewal Announcement
However, in early September 2025, Betclic announced they would not renew dycha’s contract, effectively signaling his exit. At that time, the organization was also in flux — they had already transferred Jakub “jcobbb” Pietruszewski to FaZe, leaving multiple gaps in the roster.
Dycha himself acknowledged the separation as amicable, saying the time together was “valuable” and expressing openness to new challenges.
Hypex Transfer & Reinstatement
Betclic’s internal shuffle accelerated when they sold hypex to GamerLegion. That sale, combined with the departure of jcobbb, left the team with critical voids — most notably in the AWPer role.
Facing imminent competitive obligations like the Birch Cup, Betclic opted to bring dycha back via a contract extension. This reinstatement effectively restores their five-man core heading into the tournament.
Updated Betclic Roster & Prospective Lineup
With dycha back, Betclic’s roster for Birch Cup 2025 includes:
-
Wojciech “Prism” Zięba (starter)
-
Patryk “Demho” Tomaszewski (starter)
-
Paweł “dycha” Dycha (starter, reinstated)
-
Adrian “AdrieN” Mucha (on trial / being tested)
-
Patryk “Melavi” Baranski (on trial)
The team is coached by Jędrzej “Bogdan” Rokita.
In previous lineups, Betclic had also experimented with wizzhehe (Bartłomiej Maciorowski) as a possible replacement, though his status remains uncertain with dycha’s return.
Context: Betclic’s Recent Turbulence & Competition Outlook
Betclic’s roster has undergone rapid changes in recent weeks. The loss of jcobbb to FaZe was a major blow to their firepower. The subsequent departure of dycha—and then hypex—further destabilized the squad.
Their decision to bring back dycha signals urgency: they want to restore cohesion quickly ahead of Birch Cup 2025, an offline event in Gdańsk (Poland) held from September 27–28. Though Betclic has players on trial in the roster, the extension of dycha indicates they value his experience for stability in high-stakes matches.
In their first match at the Birch Cup, Betclic faces Nemesis, with the match scheduled for September 26 in the Open Qualifier stage. The lineups listed for that match include dycha, Demho, Prism, AdrieN, and wizzhehe for Betclic.
Betclic is currently ranked around #123 globally under HLTV rankings. In match previews, Betclic is often seen as a moderate favorite vs Nemesis, reflecting modest expectations given their roster volatility.
