As of August 18, 2025, tickets for the DreamHack Knockout tournaments are on sale, offering CS2 players a direct route to qualify for ESL Pro League Season 23. There are two upcoming events—one in Atlanta (Oct 31–Nov 2) and the other in Stockholm (Nov 28–30)—each granting the winning team a coveted spot in the Pro League.

Event Details & Format

DreamHack Knockout – Atlanta

Dates: October 31 to November 2, 2025

Teams: Up to 32

Format: GSL-style group stage (four groups of eight), followed by a 16-team single-elimination playoff bracket. The champion secures automatic qualification to ESL Pro League Season 23.

Prize Pool: USD 10,000.

Ticketing: A Team Ticket for five players costs approximately USD 845, and adding a coach costs USD 69.

DreamHack Knockout – Stockholm

Dates: November 28 to November 30, 2025

Teams: Up to 128—reflecting Stockholm's larger capacity and strong CS talent pool

Prize Pool: USD 10,000

Ticket Options: Includes a 5-player team ticket, a coach add-on, and a 6-player team ticket (which includes space, internet, and power for a coach)

Why It Matters

These Knockout events mark a significant shift toward LAN-based qualification for top-tier CS2 competition. As noted when first announced in June 2025, Shahin Zarrabi, VP of Festivals at ESL FACEIT Group, emphasized:

“This is what DreamHack is all about, we’re leveling the playing field. Nothing matters except bringing your computer, showing your skill, and rising to fame.”

This open format allows any team willing to participate in the DreamHack BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) environment a shot at Pro League—raising the stakes well beyond traditional online qualifiers.
