BOROS Joins Alter Ego After Leaving JiJieHao

Jordanian Counter-Strike player Mohammad “BOROS” Malhas has officially joined Alter Ego, marking his return to competition after a short period without a team. The move comes shortly after the rifler parted ways with JiJieHao for the second time in early February, ending a brief but eventful stint with the Chinese organization.

BOROS announced the transfer through social media, expressing excitement about the opportunity and the team’s ambitions for the upcoming season. According to the player, Alter Ego aims to compete for qualification spots at future Counter-Strike Majors, including a potential appearance at the Singapore Major.

The 21-year-old Jordanian rifler has built a reputation as one of the most aggressive and mechanically gifted players to come from the Middle East. Born in 2004, BOROS rose to prominence through his explosive entry fragging and high-impact rifle play, which previously earned him recognition during his time with teams such as Monte and Into the Breach earlier in his career.

Before joining Alter Ego, BOROS spent part of the 2025–2026 season with JiJieHao. His second tenure with the Chinese roster ended through a mutual agreement between both sides. Despite the relatively short stay, the team achieved respectable results, including runner-up finishes at Chinese events such as ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND Asia Open and ZHI-TECH Elite Masters. During those runs, JiJieHao managed notable victories against regional opponents like Lynn Vision.

Following his departure from JiJieHao, BOROS remained without a team for roughly a month before linking up with Alter Ego. The Southeast Asian organization has been working to strengthen its roster in order to become more competitive within the Asian Counter-Strike scene. The addition of a proven international player like BOROS is seen as a significant boost to the squad’s firepower and experience.

With BOROS joining the lineup, Alter Ego’s roster now features a mix of experienced veterans and players from several different regions. The current team includes Indonesian veteran Hansel “BnTeT” Ferdinand, New Zealand AWPer Sean “Gratisfaction” Kaiwai, Pakistani player Saad “PokemoN” Ahmad, Ukrainian rifler Zahar “Polbandana” Siledchyk, and BOROS himself. The team is coached by Andrew “bali” Joseph.

Alter Ego currently competes primarily in the Asian Counter-Strike circuit. The organization was founded in Indonesia and has been attempting to establish itself as a consistent contender in regional tournaments since forming its CS roster in 2024. Although the team has fluctuated in the global rankings, it has continued to participate in qualifiers and regional competitions across Asia.

BOROS made his debut with the squad during the CS Asia Championships 2026 closed qualifier. The team quickly showed promising results, securing victories over teams such as Lynn Vision and Rare Atom and advancing to the upper-bracket semifinal of the event. Their next opponent in the qualifier is Chinggis Warriors, as Alter Ego continues its campaign for a spot at the main tournament.

From a stylistic perspective, BOROS is expected to play an aggressive rifling role within the team’s system. Historically, his gameplay has revolved around taking early duels and creating space for teammates, which could complement the structure built around experienced players like BnTeT and Gratisfaction. According to recent statistics, the Jordanian player has maintained strong individual form, including high impact ratings and strong opening duel performance.

For Alter Ego, the signing represents a clear attempt to strengthen the team’s competitive potential ahead of upcoming international qualifiers. The organization hopes that the addition of BOROS will help elevate the roster to a higher level in the increasingly competitive Asian region.

Meanwhile, for BOROS himself, the move offers a fresh start after several roster changes over the past few years. If the lineup manages to find stability and synergy, Alter Ego could emerge as a dark horse contender in future regional events and possibly fight for qualification spots at upcoming Counter-Strike Majors.
