BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 2: m0NESY Bags MVP as ZywOo, YEKINDAR & KSCERATO Headline EVPs

The S-Tier LAN event BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 2 took place in Hong Kong from 12 to 16 November 2025, featuring eight elite squads battling for a $350 000 prize pool.  In the end, Brazil’s FURIA emerged victorious, extending their recent dominance with a 3-1 win over Europe’s Falcons in the grand final.

FURIA Extend Their Streak

Under the leadership of veteran IGL Gabriel „FalleN” Toledo, FURIA secured their third consecutive event win, and their fourth trophy in five attempts, carving themselves out as the team to beat heading into the Budapest Major.  Their run included best-of-5 final victory over Falcons, where strategic depth and peak individual performances combined.

The MVP: m0NESY Steps Up

The spotlight goes to 20-year-old Russian AWPer Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov of Falcons, who, despite finishing runner-up, delivered a stellar showing. Across the event he posted a 1.42 rating and 1.16 kills per round win — numbers unmatched by any competitor. With that, he earned the event’s MVP award, expressing afterward that the honour “hurts more than winning it at EPL because we had a lot of chances.”

EVPs: Recognising Outstanding Performances

The event’s EVPs (Elite-Valued Players) were as follows:

  • Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut (Vitality) — Despite not winning the event, ZywOo claimed his fourth consecutive EVP, thanks to dominant map-ratings and a standout quarter-final performance.

  • Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis (FURIA) — The Latvian rifler turned heads with a jaw-dropping 21-kill, +29.8% Swing half on the T-side of Nuke in the final, and ended the event with multiple maps over 1.30 rating.

  • Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato (FURIA) — Posting a 1.23 overall rating (1.35 in map wins), KSCERATO’s performance in the semis (46 frags in 44 rounds, 2.10 series rating) sealed the EVP nod.

All-Stars Selection

Following the usual rule that no team may have more than three players selected, the full All-Star list features:

  • m0NESY — MVP, Falcons

  • ZywOo — EVP, Vitality

  • YEKINDAR — EVP, FURIA

  • KSCERATO — EVP, FURIA

  • Yuri “yuurih” Santos (FURIA) — Chosen as anchor role despite strong competition; his consistency was rewarded.

  • FalleN (FURIA) — Selected as the captain due to IGL responsibilities, although his rating vs top-10 opponents was lower than Falcons counterpart “kyxsan”.

Broader Context & Implications

This event not only highlights FURIA’s surge in form, but also signals that Falcons (despite the loss) have a sniper in m0NESY who can carry deep runs. With one major event remaining — the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 — the momentum and roster dynamics here are particularly relevant.

For ZywOo, the continuation of his EVP streak underlines his elite status even when his team doesn’t take the trophy. And for FURIA, their ability to split final honours (two EVPs) while maintaining a team trophy emphasises depth over reliance on any single frag-leader.

Final Word

BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 2 may have wrapped, but its after-effects will resonate: MVP honours for m0NESY, elite recognition for ZywOo, YEKINDAR and KSCERATO — and another title for FURIA. Heading into the Major, teams will be analysing these performances closely.
