BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026 Broadcast Talent Lineup Officially Announced

BLAST has officially revealed the broadcast talent lineup for BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026, one of the most anticipated Counter-Strike events of the early season. The tournament will run from March 18 to March 29, bringing together some of the biggest teams in the world and a well-known cast of analysts, commentators, and hosts who will guide viewers through the action.

The event marks the first BLAST Open stop of 2026 and features 16 teams competing for a total prize pool of $1.1 million. Matches will begin in the BLAST studio during the group stage before the tournament moves to a live arena setting in the Netherlands for the final days. The playoffs are scheduled to take place at Rotterdam Ahoy, where the remaining teams will compete in front of a live audience.

Broadcast talent lineup

BLAST has assembled a mix of experienced broadcast personalities and newer faces to cover the event. Among the key names involved in the show are Mike “DarfMike” Winnick, Alex “Mauisnake” Ellenberg, Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, and Donald “voo” Parkhurst, who will take on roles across the desk and analysis segments.

The broadcast will also feature several established commentators from the Counter-Strike scene. Veteran caster Anders Blume, widely regarded as one of the most recognizable voices in the game, is set to return to the microphone alongside Henry “HenryG” Greer. The duo has previously worked together at multiple major tournaments and BLAST events, forming one of the game’s well-known casting partnerships.

Another familiar casting pair, Mohan “launders” Govindasamy and Conner “Scrawny” Girvan, will also provide commentary during the tournament. The Canadian duo has become a regular presence at high-tier Counter-Strike events, often working on BLAST broadcasts and major international tournaments.

Additional members of the broadcast crew will contribute across hosting, analysis, and stage segments, helping deliver coverage both from the studio portion of the event and during the arena playoffs. BLAST broadcasts traditionally feature a combination of desk discussions, pre- and post-match breakdowns, interviews with players, and live arena segments to complement the match commentary.

Event structure and format

BLAST Open Rotterdam will feature 16 participating teams, including several of the highest-ranked squads in the world. Invitations were largely determined using Valve’s Regional Standings system, with the top teams from the global rankings receiving direct invites to the event.

The competition begins with a double-elimination group stage, where teams play best-of-three matches. The winners of each group advance directly to the playoff semifinals, while the second- and third-place teams move on to the quarterfinals.

Once the tournament reaches the arena stage in Rotterdam, the playoffs will switch to a single-elimination bracket, with most matches played as best-of-three series and the grand final contested as a best-of-five. This format ensures that the strongest teams from the group stage have an advantage while still giving lower-bracket teams a chance to make a deep run.

A key event in the 2026 CS season

BLAST Open Rotterdam serves as one of the first major international LAN tournaments of the year and is expected to draw significant attention from fans and teams alike. With a large prize pool and a stacked lineup of competitors, the event plays an important role in shaping the early-season hierarchy in Counter-Strike competition.

For BLAST, the tournament also represents another major arena show in Europe. Rotterdam Ahoy has hosted several large esports and entertainment events in the past, and thousands of fans are expected to attend the final stage of the competition.

With top-tier teams battling for one of the biggest prizes of the season and a broadcast crew featuring some of the most recognizable personalities in Counter-Strike, BLAST Open Rotterdam is set to deliver one of the standout esports spectacles of the spring calendar.
