BLAST Bounty Season 2: Teams, format, schedule, prizes, broadcast talent, and Fantasy
BLAST Bounty returns this month with a two‑phase Season 2: a 32‑team online stage on European servers from August 5–10, followed by an eight‑team LAN Finals in Malta on August 14–17. Qualifiers must win two best‑of‑three series online to book tickets to Malta, where a single‑elimination bracket culminates in a best‑of‑five grand final.
What’s new in the format
The signature “bounty” twist is back. Seeds 17–32 drafted their opening opponents, and each higher‑seeded team carries a cash bounty. Beat a team and you claim 50% of that team’s bounty; the other 50% rolls forward and stacks on the winner. BLAST has published a public bounty simulator to illustrate potential prize paths.
Teams in the online stage (selected highlights)
The 32‑team field features a deep invite list including Vitality, MOUZ, Spirit, FaZe, NAVI, FURIA, G2, Astralis, Virtus.pro, HEROIC, ENCE, The MongolZ, Liquid, BIG, NIP, OG, Complexity, paiN, Legacy, fnatic, MIBR, Aurora, BetBoom, FlyQuest, NRG, FUT, ECSTATIC, B8, Rare Atom, Nemiga, and TNL.
Opening matchdays (online)
The online schedule begins Tuesday, August 5 with fixtures such as FUT vs. B8, ECSTATIC vs. Liquid, Nemiga vs. G2, and BetBoom vs. FaZe. Play continues August 6–8 with ties including MIBR vs. Virtus.pro, TNL vs. NAVI, Passion UA vs. Spirit, Rare Atom vs. Astralis, BIG vs. FURIA, OG vs. MOUZ, NIP vs. paiN, fnatic vs. Legacy, ENCE vs. The MongolZ, FlyQuest vs. Aurora, NRG vs. Vitality, and Complexity vs. HEROIC. Full, time‑stamped listings are available on HLTV’s event hub.
Prize model
Instead of a fixed split per placement, earnings depend on bounties collected round‑to‑round. Each team’s starting bounty corresponds to its seeding; winners take half the defeated opponent’s bounty and carry the remainder forward, increasing the stakes for later matches. Fans can experiment with outcomes via BLAST’s bounty simulator.
Finals location and dates
The BLAST Bounty Season 2 Finals run August 14–17 in Malta, following BLAST’s multi‑year partnership with GamingMalta. HLTV maintains a dedicated Finals page with brackets and team listings as they’re confirmed.
