August 22, 2025 — Polish organization Betclic Apogee have officially confirmed the sale of their standout rifler Jakub “jcobbb” Pietruszewski to an undisclosed tier-one team. In a heartfelt statement, the club praised the 21-year-old for his flair-filled performances and extended a warm farewell: “Thank you Kuba, now go kill it in tier 1!” .

From Breakout Talent to Major Transfer

Despite his limited experience on the elite stage, jcobbb’s meteoric rise in the tier-two scene was impossible to ignore. Since joining Betclic Apogee in November 2024 from 9INE, he averaged a 1.15 rating across 65 maps, showcasing both breathtaking aggression and high consistency. His highlight reel includes surprise victories over The MongolZ and Astralis at PGL Bucharest, where he posted standout ratings over 1.20 in those upsets. 

At the same time, his inexperience against top-tier opponents shone through. During PGL Bucharest, his overall rating dipped to 0.97 across five series—highlighting vulnerability against world-class defenses. Still, those flashes of brilliance solidified his reputation as a rising breaker. 

The Mystery Tier-One Suitor

While Betclic confirmed the tier-one move, the destination initially remained a mystery—drawing ample speculation across social platforms. However, that secrecy has now peeled back: reports from FaZe Clan, and multiple sources such as Esports Insider, Pley.gg, and BO3.gg have confirmed that jcobbb is indeed joining FaZe as the replacement for the recently benched EliGE. 

EliGE had struggled to integrate with the roster and delivered inconsistent results before today’s announcement. FaZe cited "mutual consent" for the benching and heralded jcobbb's arrival as ushering in a new generation for the squad. FaZe IGL karrigan echoed the sentiment, expressing excitement over “shaking things up role-wise” and welcoming jcobbb for the transition.
