BC.Game Rebuild Explained: TaZ Opens Up on Roster Changes, Senzu Signing, and Search for New IGL
BC.Game coach Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas says the organization had no choice but to make roster changes after months of disappointing performances and internal issues prevented the team from reaching expectations.
In an interview with HLTV during CS Asia Championships 2026, TaZ explained that BC.Game wanted to show both fans and players that management was willing to take action to improve the roster and rebuild the project. According to the Polish coach, the team simply failed to deliver the results expected after its high-profile rebuild earlier this year.
“It was very important to show the community and the players that we want to do better and are willing to make moves to improve,” TaZ told HLTV.
The comments come after BC.Game benched Christopher “MUTiRiS” Fernandes and António “aragornN” Barbosa in April following a difficult first half of the season. The organization called the move part of a “planned roster evaluation” after the team struggled to establish consistency against top opposition.
BC.Game’s Superteam Project Failed to Meet Expectations
BC.Game entered 2026 with major ambitions after signing the former SAW core around Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev and Denis “electroNic” Sharipov. The lineup was expected to become one of the most dangerous international CS2 projects outside the established elite.
The organization added MUTiRiS, aragornN, and Adones “krazy” Nobre from SAW in January, with MUTiRiS taking over in-game leadership duties. On paper, the roster combined experienced veterans, elite firepower, and structured leadership.
Instead, the project quickly ran into problems.
BC.Game struggled in online qualifiers and failed to secure strong placements at important events. The team later withdrew from ROG JOURNEY Spring, explaining that fixing chemistry problems had become the top priority before returning to competition.
At the same time, the squad’s Valve Regional Standings position continued to decline, effectively ending hopes of qualifying for IEM Cologne through ranking invites.
MUTiRiS Revealed Internal Leadership Problems
The situation became even more public during PGL Bucharest, where MUTiRiS openly discussed the team’s leadership structure in an interview with HLTV.
The Portuguese player admitted that he did not feel like the true captain of the roster despite serving as IGL.
“Here I’m more the IGL, I’m not the captain,” MUTiRiS explained.
He also suggested that decision-making responsibilities inside the team were unclear, with coaching staff and management heavily involved in key choices.
TaZ later responded to those comments, rejecting the idea that MUTiRiS lacked support while also acknowledging that strong teams usually require a natural leader who can control the direction of the project both inside and outside the server.
According to TaZ, BC.Game are still searching for that type of personality.
Senzu Signing Gives BC.Game New Firepower
Following the benchings, BC.Game moved quickly to reinforce the roster by signing Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold on loan.
The Mongolian star had been one of Passion UA’s standout performers before the transfer and arrived with impressive individual statistics. His aggressive rifling and confidence immediately gave BC.Game more firepower.
Assistant coach Robin “ScrunK” Röpke, who temporarily stepped in as the team’s in-game leader, praised Senzu shortly after his debut.
“You can tell Senzu has a champion’s mentality,” ScrunK said after IEM Atlanta.
However, ScrunK also admitted the roster still lacked structure, protocols, and long-term stability.
BC.Game Still Searching for a Permanent IGL
Despite the recent changes, TaZ believes BC.Game are still far from reaching their full potential.
The legendary Polish coach admitted the team cannot currently be considered tier one, but insisted the lineup has the talent required to compete with elite opposition if the organization finds the right in-game leader and builds stronger trust within the roster.
For now, BC.Game continue competing with ScrunK handling temporary leadership responsibilities while management evaluates long-term options.
With stars like s1mple, electroNic, krazy, and Senzu still on the active lineup, the organization remains one of the most closely watched rebuilding projects in Counter-Strike 2.
