BC.Game Analyst ScrunK Explains CS2 Team Struggles: “Lack of Practice Hit Us Hard”

BC.Game analyst and stand-in in-game leader Robin “ScrunK” Röpke has opened up about the squad’s disappointing performances at IEM Atlanta 2026 and CS Asia Championships 2026, admitting that insufficient practice severely affected the team’s results in CS2.
The international roster finished both tournaments without a single series victory, continuing a difficult period for the organization despite the presence of superstar players like Oleksandr Kostyliev and Denis Sharipov.
According to ScrunK, BC.Game showed flashes of competitive form against top-tier opponents such as Team Vitality and Team Falcons, but the roster lacked consistency due to minimal preparation time.
“Obviously, the lack of practice hit us hard. If we had played more together, maybe the result would have been better,” ScrunK said after the tournament.
BC.Game CS2 Roster Struggled With Limited Practice
BC.Game entered both tournaments with an unstable lineup. ScrunK temporarily joined the active roster as an IGL, while Mongolian rifler Azbayar Munkhbold played as a stand-in during the events.
The team suffered losses to paiN Gaming and B8, while also failing to upset elite contenders like Vitality and Falcons.
CS2 legend Oleksandr Kostyliev later commented on the situation, revealing that the squad had only five days of practice before competing.
“It’s hard to play when the gameplan isn’t followed from the start,” s1mple wrote after BC.Game’s elimination.
The roster issues were also addressed by head coach Wiktor Wojtas, who admitted the lineup was effectively an experiment created under difficult circumstances.
“We got what we deserved,” TaZ said while discussing the team’s lack of preparation and role issues.
BC.Game Results Raise Questions About Future CS2 Lineup
The disappointing tournament run has already triggered discussions across the Counter-Strike community regarding BC.Game’s long-term future in CS2 esports.
Analyst Jacob Winneche recently suggested a potential “superteam” concept involving players from BC.Game and Ninjas in Pyjamas, including s1mple and electroNic.
Despite the poor results, many analysts believe BC.Game still has significant firepower on paper. However, the team’s recent performances highlighted familiar issues in modern Counter-Strike 2: lack of synergy, insufficient bootcamp time, and unstable leadership structures.
With the competitive CS2 calendar becoming increasingly demanding ahead of the next Valve Regional Standings cycle, BC.Game will likely need major improvements in practice structure and roster stability if the organization wants to compete against elite teams consistently.
