B8 Endure Tough Battle Against Legacy to Secure Playoff Spot in Bucharest

The Ukrainian squad B8 have clinched a playoff berth at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 after edging past Brazil’s Legacy in a hard-fought best-of-three series. B8 now hold a 3-1 record in the Swiss stage and move on to the elimination bracket.

The series kicked off with Legacy dominating the first map (Dust2) 13-3 — in which IGL Lucas “lux” Meneghini stood out with a 2.06 rating, showing his influence.
In response, B8 struck back on Ancient, securing a 13-10 victory to force a decider. On Train, they closed out the series 13-11 to lock in their playoff qualification.

For Legacy, the loss means they now drop into the 2-2 pool — a do-or-die situation where one more defeat would send them home.

From B8's side, the comeback highlights their resilience and ability to respond under pressure. Their ability to turn things around after a rough start will serve them well heading into the knockout stage. Meanwhile, Legacy will need to regroup quickly if they’re going to salvage their tournament hopes.

In broader context, the event format places 16 teams in a Swiss-system group stage followed by an eight-team single-elimination playoff bracket.
