Astralis Send FlyQuest Packing at StarLadder Budapest Major

Astralis eliminate FlyQuest — no maps for the Aussies

At the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, Astralis defeated FlyQuest 2–0 in a best-of-three series during Stage 2, eliminating FlyQuest from the tournament.

After a strong, unbeaten run in Stage 1, FlyQuest faltered under pressure: they failed to secure a single map this time.

Mirage: FlyQuest’s pick crumbles

FlyQuest’s pick — Mirage — turned into a disaster: the team barely managed five rounds total, losing 5–13. On the CT side, they couldn’t post a single round.

Astralis turned the momentum strongly in their favor in the second half. Players like HooXi and Magisk led the charge, combining for 22 frags as Astralis took control and closed the map.

Overpass: FlyQuest fights back but fails to close it out

On Overpass, the teams remained neck-and-neck with a 6–6 first half. FlyQuest showed moments of life on their T-side and even reached double digits, briefly holding a 10–7 lead.

However, Astralis regrouped and forced a comeback — eventually snagging the final kill in regulation to secure the 13–11 map win and the match.

What’s next for Astralis — and what this loss means for FlyQuest

For FlyQuest, the loss means an abrupt end to their journey at this Major: despite a perfect Stage 1, they failed to carry momentum into Stage 2 and exit without winning a single map.

For Astralis, the win keeps their qualification hopes alive. After earlier shaky losses to Ninjas in Pyjamas and M80 over the weekend, this elimination-saving victory boosts their morale — as their veteran AWPer device said post-match: “We knew we had our backs against the wall today … I’m just happy right now, but a lot of jobs to do still.”
